In the darkness of night

You looked serene at the night
Knowing that there is no fear
The view was out of sight
Yet, there is something missing here
Your eyes were blank and far gazing
But you didn’t know where you’ve looked
The darkness of the night was your friend
With the scene of the celestial light
You’ve always wanted to know
What is the big show?
Your psychic twin is missing
And you are left in a dream
It seemed so final
You are alone in this world
The boundaries of space is your life
Even if you lost your psychic twin
You’ll know in the end
That space is where your twin is
Even in the darkness of night

Sorry I didn't see this sooner! Great work! I'm not totally sure of the meaning of the psychic twin and everything, but it's a nice poem! I like it!

:D
Just wondering: Are you talking to one person, who is gone, in the first two parts, then to yourself in the second two parts?

I am sorry I haven't poated sooner, but what I meant by psychic twin is about your conscience that might get blurred

Pieces of my heart

I tried to be cold
I tried to do what I’ve been told
The pieces of my heart
Was scattered all around
You never know until it happens
The pieces might fit
When will you learn?
That memories could get burn
The winds of change blew
He pieces of my heart
Into different directions
To try and locate them
Is a journey of discovery
It might feel like I’m free
Never to see the sun set
Never to feel the rain
I feel empty inside
The pieces of my heart
Is a part of the universe

Very nice! I like it! Kind of melancholy... sad. I've written some like that.

Path of a brand new life

I'm back and here is a new poem for you guys
~*~
Part of me is exited
To begin this brand new life
Part of me is crying for the things I never had
But I embraced this whole new future
Let all my bridges burn
Together we got so much to learn
For nothing seem to happen
When you are on your own
Where do you want to go?
When you have a life
Everything is changing
But you stay the same
But only you want to blame the past
Nothing can ever last!

HOPELESSNESS
Posted: Sat Mar 10, 2007 2:17 pm
by TessHardingEvans
The sun moved on with its cycle
I only feel the pain and rejection
Hopeless is the feeling I have
Maybe I must take a stand
Hopelessness is the dreams I have
Trying to be someone I am not
I even try to stop
Stop feeling the way I am feeling
The stars go on with their orbit
I am the only one that tries hard to follow my dreams
Where to now?
Hopelessness is the only emotion
that seem to carry the notion

I like the eternal theme. Everything goes on, like the stars with their orbit, though it seems like it should all just stop sometimes when things are going badly for us. But it's important to realize that everything else does go on anyway. We are just a small, tiny part of the universe. The drama of life is carried out many billions of times a day in the universe through the people, animals, plants... even the stars in the sky, yet each of us is so important to someone that we're their whole life just about... and someone or someones out there are that important to us, too. It's just as important for us to remember that fact!

Let Me!
If I want to shout and scream
Let me!
If I want to be by myself
Let me!
If I want to go and dream
Let me!
Don’t let me suffocate in this world
I’ve been ruled and oppressed for nearly my whole life
It is time for me to break those bonds
Let me go out and see the world
Let me make my own mistakes
Let me fail and succeed on my own
Why is it that I have to be perfect?
A perfect daughter or a perfect sister
I am just me
So let me be ME!

Let me be me! It's the battle cry of the adolescent who's ready to leave home, of the oppressed... and of a lot of others, too! LOL! But in the end, it's a fact, we must all soar or fall on our own merits.
