Petal soft
Blushing pink virginal white
Complex piece of art
Spiraling inwards
One petal resting on the next
Mimicking hope, internal laugher
True life supported by love
One to the other
Works of art eternal
Forever

Vacant voiceless vacuous void
So cold was the heart so useless
Insignificant meaningless
Dismal life bound in chains
One compelling solid voice
Breathing life warmth again
Affranchise unfetter manumit free
Only time will tell

Midnight Hour
Pitch blackness reigns tonight
Starless sky extinguished by time
Keys are spoken, gates open
Parallel times, worlds collide
Time stands still, stationary
Fouled air follows, announcing
Those creatures of damned
Demonic beings immortal, fearless
Invading man’s dreams, insecurities
Mere seconds pass, in mortal time
Retreat to bowels of hell,
The land of torture, merciless
They flee, upon the 13th strike
Death, terror, hopelessness
Their path lined with blood
Happy Halowwen 2006

thanks Island Breeze you are always great to respond with feedback
For those who missed it Jan 3rd was “The Full Wolf Moon” according to the Farmers’ Almanac. I love that name, think on it for a while. Think of all it entails those words, creation of worlds, so vast, deep to man that none can escape it, the seduction, the power of imagination.
Full Wolf Moon
Full Wolf Moon hear how she howls the rawness of power
Unleashing internal terror, long forgotten tribal woes
Low it starts the vociferation of primal fear growing to madness
Lamenting, terra weeps frozen tears for death unyielding
White crisp, the gelided vast wilderness of illusionary memory
Overwhelming the souls, biting, nipping at petrified flesh
Life diminished, immortality burned, quietus
Frigid hearts echo the mournful cry of the solitarily wind
Moon cast down shadow, cold, unyielding light of mastery
Overwhelming man, controlling his desires, thoughts, his mind
Oh how man crumbles, his fate commanded
Nature she holds mankind in her talons, friend nor foe

Very nice! Thought-provoking! I especially liked the last line:
Nature she holds mankind in her talons, friend nor foe
Too true!
