Seduction 101

Brief Summary: Max, Michael, Kyle, and Alex are four college friends. They make a bet with each other that they could seduce any girl at their college. So they pick a girl for each to try and seduce...Will the guys get their girls in bed? Or will they all fail in Seduction 101? (challenge by nibbles2)
Warning: If you have very conservative views on sex, you may not want to read this, as the ideas presented by some of the male characters are sometimes quite a bit chauvinistic and selfish. Forgive my characters though....the poor guys are just thinking with things other than their brains... And I mean no offense to any homosexuals through what is said by Kyle and Alex in Part 1.

Part 1

“You could NOT do it, man!” Alex scoffed, giving Kyle an incredulous look.

“I so COULD, Whitman!” Kyle came back. “You’re only jealous because you know you aren’t man enough to be able to turn a lesbian straight.”

Shaking his head, Alex snickered at his friend. “Being more manly isn’t a good thing here, buddy. It’s men that lesbians aren’t attracted to.”

Kyle’s cocky smile began to falter.

“Besides,” Alex went on, “how would you even start to ‘turn a lesbian straight’, as you put it?”

“Duh, Whitman. Seduction.”

“Seduction?”

“Yes, seduction,” said Kyle, hands on his hips, a proud expression on his face.

Alex burst out laughing at this.

“What the hell’s so funny?” Kyle demanded.

Alex only continued to laugh, his face now a beautiful shade of red. When he finally stopped, and managed to catch his breath, he said, “You don’t know anything about wooing a girl or winning your way into her heart.”

There was silence for a moment as Kyle screwed his face up in a look of confusion. “I didn’t say anything about wooing a girl. I said I’d seduce her. Pay attention.”

“Ok, I get it. You don’t do the sweet gentleman thing,” replied Alex. “So then how would you seduce a girl?”

“Not just any girl. A lesbian,” Kyle corrected. “And I’d seduce her using my Buddha-given gifts.”

With these words Kyle swung his hips in a wide circle and then thrust them forward violently in Alex’s general direction.

“Oh crap, Valenti! Never EVER thrust at me like that again!”

“What?” asked Kyle, glancing down at himself. “Oh, dude, is it cause I just got out of the shower and only have a towel on?”

“Yes!” squeaked Alex. “And that’s not a towel. That’s practically a loincloth.”

Ignoring Alex’s discomfort, Kyle said, “So, speaking of loins...that’s how I’d seduce a lesbian.”

“What the hell are you talking about, Valenti?! Would you just go flash Little Kyle at the poor girl?”

“Of course not!” Kyle shot back. “I think that’s illegal. No man, I’d rock her world.”

“Rock her world?” Alex raised his eyebrows and stared at his half-naked roommate in amusement.

“Yeah, man, you know. Do the horizontal hokey-pokey, put the-”

“I know what you mean. But Kyle...you’re talking about seducing a girl. Your brilliant plan is to get a girl to sleep with you...by sleeping with her? And if that isn’t dumb enough, there’s something you aren’t quite catching on to. You want to seduce a lesbian...someone who doesn’t typically like to or want to sleep with men in the first place. Even assuming your plan somehow made sense, which, believe me, it doesn’t...it could NEVER work with a lesbian.”

“It so COULD work!”

“Couldn’t!”

“Could!”

“Couldn’t!”

“Cou-”

“Honey, we’re home!” a sing-song voice cut in.

Glancing up, Alex and Kyle saw their other two roommates, Max and Michael, walking in.

“Good lord man, put on clothes!” yelled Michael as he saw Kyle.

“What were you two arguing about?” Max asked, elbowing Michael out of the way.

“Kyle thinks he could seduce a lesbian and turn her straight,” Alex replied.

“Hey! I’d give it a try!” Michael joked.

Alex shook his head as if in disappointment. “You’re such a sex-addict, Mike,” he said sadly. “Don’t you ever think about having a real relationship?”

“Nope. I just like a whole lot of pus-”

“Hey, can we get back to me here?” asked Kyle. “Come on, how can you not believe that I could seduce a lesbian? I mean, LOOK at me!”

Chuckling at his friends, Max said, “Kyle, if you’re so sure of yourself, maybe we could put a little money on that.”

Everyone turned to Max.

“Keep talking,” said Kyle, looking intrigued.

“I bet you $500 you can’t get a lesbian to sleep with you before we graduate.”

Everyone stared at Max in shock, unsure if he was totally serious or not.

“You’re on,” Kyle finally replied. “And to make things more interesting, I say all four of us each throw in $500 and each of us has to seduce a girl-”

“That the other guys pick!” Michael threw in, getting excited at the thought of having sex, and getting money from his friends for it too. After all, he was Michael Guerin, lord of the bedroom. He could get any girl he wanted.

“Guys, this is so wrong,” said Alex. “We could really hurt the feelings of some girls. I mean, I’m all for having sex. And I could get any girl I want, what with my wit and charm and all. I just think-”

“Whitman, if you say you’re in, the girl we pick for you to seduce is Isabel,” said Kyle.

“Dude, not my sister!” Max yelled.

At the same time, Alex yelled, “Count me in, boys!”

Michael couldn’t help but to laugh at the look on Max’s face.

“It’s not funny,” mumbled Max. “For that, I think you should get Maria Deluca.”

“Oh come on, that’s cruel! Everyone knows she’s waiting for marriage. The woman’s twenty-two and hasn’t gone past second base!”

“So, what...you aren’t man enough to get her to go further?” teased Kyle.

“Of course I am,” snapped Michael, standing up straighter and puffing out his chest.

“So we just need girls for Max and Kyle,” Alex noted.

“I say Kyle has to seduce Tess Harding. Everyone knows she’s a lesbian, and she just broke up with some girl she’d been seeing forever, so she’s available,” Michael put in.

“Ok,” said Kyle, nodding. “She’s a little hottie!”

“So who’s the lucky lady for Max?” Michael asked.

“How about Liz Parker? Maria’s friend with the brown hair?” Kyle suggested.

“Isn’t she seeing someone?” Max asked.

“I don’t know,” said Kyle, shrugging. “I wasn’t even totally sure Liz Parker is her name.” He glanced around at his roommates. “That is her name, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, I think so. And, since we can’t come up with anyone else, I guess Liz will do,” said Alex.

Max nodded in agreement.

“So here’s how it will work,” said Max. “We all put in $500. Whoever gets their girl to sleep with them by graduation gets their winner’s share of the total $2000. One winner gets it all, two get $1000 each. You get the idea.”

“Sounds good,” said Kyle. “But what if there are no winners, or four winners?”

“If we all get laid, who needs to make extra money? And if none of us get laid, there’s something seriously wrong with the world. So, is everyone cool with these terms?”

Three voices answered ‘yes’ back to Max.

“Well...let the best men win.”

Part 2

“The geek is staring at me again, isn’t he?” Isabel whispered to her friend Tess. “The skinny one with the dark hair...”

Tess glanced up from the textbook she was reading and glanced around the café where she and Isabel were enjoying a few iced mochas before their American History exam. Almost instantly she spotted a skinny and dark-haired guy across the café, staring at Isabel.

“Yes,” said Tess. “But who can blame him? Every guy stares at you, Isabel.”

Isabel smiled, trying to look modest. “Not EVERY guy, Tess. Just the straight ones.”

“So are you going to talk to him?” Tess asked, turning back to her book.

“Um, are you kidding me?” Isabel asked, looking shocked. “He’s a geek, Tess. Look at him. Look at his clothes. The guy has no style. And no muscles.”

“Muscles and clothes shouldn’t be everything, Isabel,” said Tess. “Besides, shouldn’t you at least be a little nice to him? He is your brother’s roommate.”

“Tess, newsflash honey. I’m not nice to geeks, even if they are one of my brother’s roommates. It’s been a few years and I still didn’t bother to learn this guy’s name. My brother hangs out with losers sometimes. This is one of those times..”

“You’re being really harsh,” Tess replied, giving Isabel a critical eye. “I know you love to date models and aspiring actors, but seriously...you could at least be nicer to the other guys in the world too.”

“Not worth my time,” said Isabel, yawning and standing up. “I’m heading to my place to change clothes before the test. I’ll see you there.”

Tess nodded, already engrossed in her textbook again.

Isabel sighed and shook her head, turning away from her friend. As she approached the door of the café, she realized she’d have to pass by the geek. She smiled to herself as she decided to have a little fun with him.

“Hi,” she cooed, sliding into the seat opposite him. “You’re one of Max’s roommates, aren’t you?”

“Y-y-yes,” Alex squeaked out. “I’m Alex.”

“Well, Alex, I couldn’t help but notice you staring at me.”

“I’m sorry,” he whispered.

“Oh, it’s ok,” said Isabel. “I know I’m beautiful. It’s no shock to me that a guy like you would notice.”

“A...a guy like me?”

“Yeah, you know. A loner, a geek, a nerd,” replied Isabel.

“Um, yeah.” Alex suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable. “So I’m a nerd?”

“Yes,” Isabel snapped, losing patience. “Isn’t that what I just said? Pay attention.”

“Oh, uh, sorry,” said Alex, unsure what else to say.

“I just wanted to tell you that if you want to keep staring at me, you need to buy some new clo-”

“Would you have dinner with me?” Alex burst out, surprising himself.

“Would I what?”

“Have dinner with me,” Alex repeated. “You know, when two people go out together and purchase food and then they eat their food. Together.”

“I know what having dinner is, Alex,” Isabel replied dryly. She stood up and looked down at him, not breaking eye contact. “I just don’t think having dinner with you is a good idea.”

“Why’s that?” asked Alex, again surprising himself with his boldness.

“We aren’t at the same social level. You’re a geek. I’m in what you’d call the social elite. I can’t mix with geeks. How would that make me look?”

“Oh,” was all that Alex said. “I understand.”

“Good,” said Isabel. Turning to leave she called out, “Tell Max I said hi ”

-----

“And that concludes this week’s meeting of the College Abstinence Association,” said Maria, closing the folder that was open in front of her on the podium. “Next week’s topic will be temptation.”

The room emptied as Maria gathered up her belongings. She flipped off the lights and stepped out into the hallway, bumping into someone.

“Oh!” she gasped. “I’m sorry. I didn’t see you there.”

“It’s ok,” replied a low gruff voice.

Glancing up, Maria came face to face with Michael, a guy she’d noticed in her chemistry class this semester.

“Michael, right?” Maria asked, holding out her hand. “I’m Maria.”

“Hi, Maria,” Michael replied, taking her hand and shaking it gently. “And yes, it’s Michael.”

“You’re in my chemistry class, aren’t you?” Maria asked, shutting the classroom door behind her and locking the door.

“Yeah,” Michael said. “I am. Look, I’m going to cut to the chase. Do you want to see a movie with me or something?”

Maria blushed and smiled, looking shyly down at the floor. “That would be nice,” she said.

“How about Friday?” Michael asked, inwardly congratulating himself.

“Friday’s good. I’ll meet you at the Mediaplex, say, around...9?”

“I’ll be there,” said Michael, flashing Maria a smile that almost no one was allowed to see. He figured it might help his chances with this girl if he looked...well, happy. Hell, he’d have to pull out all the cards to get her into bed. But he was still confident that he could do it.

Going their separate ways, Michael smiled to himself. Oh yeah. He was totally going to win the bet.

-----

“So, are you ready?” Tess asked, sitting down next to Isabel in the full lecture hall.

“I think so,” sighed Isabel. “Maybe I should have studied a little more, but I’m sure I’ll pass. Either way, history just isn’t my thing.”

“Well, good luck. The professor said this test is going to be really ha-”

“Excuse me, is this seat taken?” a male voice asked, interrupting Tess.

She looked up and saw a brown-haired young man in front of her. “No, it’s free,” she said. She turned back to Isabel and continued. “Anyway, it’s supposed to be really hard. I studied a lot, but I don’t know if I studied enough.”

“I heard the same thing,” Kyle interrupted again.

“Um, yeah,” replied Tess. “The professor told us that during the last class. We all heard it...”

“Oh, yeah,” said Kyle, his voice falling to a quieter tone.

“What’s your name?” Isabel asked, leaning across Tess to look at the guy sitting next to her friend. “You look really familiar to me.”

“I’m Kyle. I’m one of your brother’s roommates.”

Isabel settled back into her chair. “You guys are everywhere today. Max’s roommates I mean.”

“We...are?”

“Yeah, I ran into Alex earlier. The poor guy was so totally lusting after me. I could tell by how he was staring at me.”

Kyle didn’t reply, but only smiled to himself.

“He asked me out,” Isabel continued, staring down at her manicured nails in boredom. “What a geek. I mean, please. Someone like me going out with him?” Isabel laughed.

Kyle raised his eyebrows and tried not to smirk. His friend was not going to win the bet if Isabel felt like that about even going out on a simple date with him.

“Speaking of dates,” said Kyle, turning to make eye contact with Tess. “Would you be interested in joining me sometime for a study date? Everyone knows you’re the best student in this class, and honestly, I could really use the help with studying for future tests.”

“I’d love to help you study,” Tess replied, flattered. “But let’s not call it a date, ok?”

“Um, alright,” said Kyle. He didn’t know how to feel. He should be happy that Tess had accepted his invitation, but at the same time...she didn’t want to call it a date.

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he told himself it was ok. She was a lesbian, and he was...well, not a woman. Of course she wouldn’t want to call it a date. He’d just have to turn on the charm...and the sex appeal...during their study non-date.

-----

“Oh, Sean...” Liz moaned, arching her head back as her fiancé kissed his way down her neck. Reluctantly she pulled away. “Sean, I really have to get to work. We’ll continue this when I get home. I promise...it’ll be worth the wait.”

Sean smiled and kissed Liz lightly on the lips. “Ok, baby.” As Liz stood up from her position straddling Sean’s legs, he playfully slapped her butt.

Liz shrieked and swatted Sean’s hand. “Don’t try to cop a feel, buddy,” she called out behind her as she grabbed her apron for work off the back of the sofa where it had lain since she’d returned home from work the night before.

“You know you love it,” came Sean’s reply as Liz hurried out the door. She glanced down at her watch and tried not to freak out. She was going to be so late for work.

Liz managed to get to her car and get to work in ten minutes, but it wasn’t quick enough to save herself from being scolded by her manager when she finally did arrive.

“What a great start to my shift,” she mumbled to herself, tying her apron around her waist, not paying attention to the man standing in front of her, on the other side of the counter.

“Excuse me,” the man said, clearing his throat. “Could I please get a large iced chai?”

“Yeah,” Liz replied, still not glancing up. “What kind of milk? Two percent or skim?”

“Two percent.”

Liz nodded and began to prepare the iced chai. Just as she was finishing, she somehow managed to knock the entire cup onto the floor. “Fuck!” she shouted. Quickly she glanced behind her to see if her boss was in sight...or in hearing range.

“I’m so sorry,” she said, finally glancing up at her customer. “I’ll make a new one in no time. And no charge.”

“It’s ok,” Max said, flashing her a smile. “I can wait. And don’t worry about not charging me, I understand. Having a bad day?”

“I wasn’t until I was late for work,” Liz shared, pulling the milk out of the refrigerator once again, trying not to step in the mess on the floor.

“Oversleep? Class run late?”

“Uh, no,” Liz said quietly. “I was kind of...spending time with my fiancé.”

Max quickly glanced at Liz’s left hand. His eyes widened comically when he caught sight of the size of the ring on Liz’s finger.

“Oh,” was all he said as he accepted the iced drink that Liz handed to him. “Uh, thanks for the drink. Maybe I’ll see you around again. I’m Max.”

“I’m Liz,” Liz replied, smiling a bit. “Have a good day, Max.”

“Yeah. I’ll try. And you do the same.”

Turning from the counter, Max silently cursed his friends. They had given him a girl who was engaged. He was supposed to seduce a woman who was already spoken for.

He was so up shit creek without a paddle.

HeHe! I agree with Jenny's comment...
Here's hoping that the girls take these guys down a peg or two! Nice start!
They do come across as a bit, um, conceited and sure of themselves. And Liz is engaged. Hmmmm. Will Max try anyway?
