how do i set a darn avatar on this board? i'd like to put up a picture

You can chose from our avatar gallery which you can access via your profile. If you look at the headings at the top of the board you'll find a link for my profile. Scroll down in your profile and look for the gallery links.

What if we want one that's not in your gallery... seems I'm having trouble with mine showing up.

you needed to copy the direct link into the space where it says link to an offsite avatar - i took care of it for you because like I have ALL these evil board owner powers muwahahahahahah

Just stopping by to add the instructions for putting a banner in your signature. As with CaptainBanana's instructions above,

1) Go to "User Control Panel" (up at the top of this screen)
2) Select "Profile" from the tabs
3) Select "Edit Signature"
4) Type the URL for the Image (for example: http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww62/supportstacieauctions/saa3.jpg)
5) Highlight the URLtext and click the "Img" button. This will make your text look like this: [IMG]http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww62/supportstacieauctions/saa3.jpg[/IMG].
6) Click "Submit"


Majik, could you refresh my memory on what the character-length limit is as well as the limit on graphic sizes in a sig line?

as of right now, we have no limits...though we are in the process of reviewing that and establishing some guidelines as some of the signatures are a bit large
