Chapter 1 Start of Something New

Harry Potter apparated into the alley behind the Tipton Hotel. He walked into the front and went inside. He asked politely, "Excuse me, Mr. Moesby, do you where Zack and Cody Martin are?

Zack and Cody ran into the lobby each holding a letter. Zack yelled, "WE GET TO LEARN MAGIC!"

Cody yelled, "I CAN'T WAIT!"

Mr. Moesby said annoyed, "Zack and Cody, no yelling or running in the lobby."

Harry said kindly, "I'm Harry Potter, and I'm here to pick them up to get their school supplies. I have rambunctious three year old myself. I can get them under control if you let me."

Mr. Moesby said kindly, "Go ahead, Mr. Potter."

Harry asked kindly, "Zack and Cody, would you please not yell or run in the lobby because it disturbs the guests?"

Zack replied, "Okay, Mr. Potter."

Cody replied, "We won't yell or run in the lobby anymore because you asked us nicely."

Harry said, "Let's go, guys." They went to the back. He explained, "Zack and Cody, take my arms. We'll be at Diagon Alley in a few minutes." They apparated to Diagon Alley.

Zack said amazed, "Wow, this place is so cool."

Harry said, "Let's get you two some school uniforms, casual robes, and dress robes. First, we need to go Gringnots to get money." Zack and Cody exchanged their money to wizard money at Gringnots. They walked into Madam Malkin's Robes For Every Occasion. Harry said, "Madam Malkin, Zack and Cody need their school uniforms, day robes, and dress robes."

Madam Malkin measured the twins and asked, "What is your favorite color?"

Zack replied, "I like green and yellow."

Cody replied, "I like blue and red."

Zack got his school uniforms, a lime green day robe, five plain green with yellow trim, and a green dress robe. Cody got two blue day robes, his school uniforms, a blue dress robe with white trim, and two red day robes. They paid for them. Zack threw on his lime green day robe while Cody threw on his blue day robe. Zack asked, "Can we get wands now?"

Harry replied, "Sure, go ahead. I'll get the other stuff. Go to Olivlander's." He left.

Zack and Cody walked into Olivlander's. Zack said, "Hi."

Mr. Olivlander said, "Hello, Mr. Zack and Cody Martin. I have the perfect wand for both of you. Cody, please hold out your wand hand."

Cody held out his right hand and was measured. He asked, "When can I get my wand?"

Mr. Olivlander said as he put down a 13 inch Holly and a Phoenix feather wand, "The wand chooses the wizard. This is 13 inch Holly wand with a core of a Phoenix feather. Give it a wave."

Cody waved the wand and stuff flew off the shelf. He said, "Sorry."

Mr. Olivlander put down a 13 inch Mahogany wand with a core of unicorn hair. He said, "Give it a wave!"

Cody waved it and glass broke. He said, "I'll pay for it."

Mr. Olivlander said with his wand, "Reparo!" The glass was fixed.

Cody tried almost all the wands and said, "No wands want me."

Mr. Olivlander put down a vine craved wand and said, "It is a 15 inch Vine Carved Plantation Teak wand with a core of a dragon's heart string. Perfect for the matters of the heart."

Cody waved it and gold sparks shot out. He paid for his wand. He whispered, "Zack, I hope you're wand doesn't take as long as mine."

Mr. Olivlander handed Zack a Solid Maple with Solid Cherry Handle wand and said, "It is 13 1/4 inches Solid Maple with Solid Cherry Handle wand with a core of a dragon's heart string. Give it a wave, Zack."

Zack waved it and green sparks shot out of it. He paid for it. They met Harry outside. He was carrying two cages with barn owls in them. Zack took the male owl while Cody took the female owl. Zack said, "I'll name you Chocolate."

Cody said, "I'll name you, Elmira." They went to Florrish and Blott's and got their books. They each bought Comet 300 broom. They walked into Muggle London and went to Harry's car. They drove to his aunt's new house on Wirral Wood Close, Chislehurst Kent.

Harry rung the doorbell and a three year old girl with blond hair and green eyes answered the door and said, "Hi Cousin Harry."

He said, "Hey Pearl." Harry walked inside and saw his wife, Ginny, Lilly, James running around naked, Albus, Luna, Petunia, Dudley, and Harry Dursley in the dinning room.

Petunia said, "Hello Harry. These must be our guests, Zack and Cody Martin. Your bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed. Help yourselves to the food."

Zack and Cody put two tablespoons of pot roast on his plate and each poured a glass of milk to drink. Zack took a bite and said kindly, "Petunia, this is great. My mom can't cook."

Harry said strictly, "James, you can't run around naked. Some parts of your body are private and shouldn't be seen by others unless it is your parents or the doctor. You aren't a baby anymore. You are going to start a nursery school. James, I wonder what made you run around naked."

James answered, "Too Hot for clothes and wet my pants. Peed on the floor."

Harry asked, "What could you have done instead of being naked, wetting your pants?"

James said, "I could've kept my wet underwear on."

Harry replied, "No."

James said, "I could use the potty."

Harry said, "That's a good choice. Now about running around naked?"

James said, "I could of went swimming with Petunia and Pearl to cool off in my swim trunks."

Harry said, "That's good choice. What else?"

James replied, "Wore a tank top and shorts not long pants and a long sleeved shit."

Harry said, "Put on your shorties."

James ran upstairs and put on a pair of Pull Ups and his Thomas & Friends© Shorties. He came back downstairs and said, "I won't run around naked."

Harry said, "Let's clean up the mess." They went and got a bottle of Carpet Stain remover with a roll of paper towels. He said, "I could just clean up the mess with magic. You spray the cleaner on the spot and rub it in until it is gone with the paper towel."

James cleaned up the mess on the carpet and said, "I won't do that again."

Harry said strictly, "Everyone, time for bed."

Everyone went upstairs to their rooms for bed.

This is cute! I like how you've begun it as I have your other stories! Very creative!

Zack got up early at 6 in the morning, showered, and got dressed right away for the first time in his life on September 1st. He yelled, "CODY, TIME TO GET UP!"

Cody mumbled, "Too early."

Harry came into the twin's rooms and asked, "Zack, having trouble waking up your brother?"

Zack replied, "Yes."

Harry took out his wand and pointed it at Cody. He whispered, "Aguamenti!" A jet of water sprayed on Cody.

Cody said as getting out of bed, "Hey, what was the for, Harry?"

Harry replied, "Sorry about that, Cody. Now, get dressed."

Cody grabbed the clothes that he laid out the night before and went into the bathroom. He took a shower and got dressed. He joined them downstairs in the kitchen for scrambled eggs and toast with jam.

Petunia asked, "Cody and Zack, are you guys excited about going to Hogwarts?"

Zack replied, "Yes, I read all the text books from the first four years. Magic textbooks are so much more interesting than muggle textbooks."

Cody replied, "Yes, I am. I also read all the textbooks."

Harry lead the twins outside to his car and drove them to the King Cross Station. They walked through Platform 9 3/4. Cody saw the most beautiful girl with short blond hair and light green eyes in a compartment. Cody asked, "Can we sit with you?"

The girl replied cheerfully, "Sure. I'm Maria Gudgeon."

Cody sat next to her and Zack sat across from them. Zack asked, "Maria, what do you like to do?"

Maria replied, "I like hanging with my friends, reading, and swimming. You?"

Cody said kindly, "I like being with my friends, reading, and playing basketball."

Zack said, "I like playing pranks, goofing off, watching TV, skateboarding, and playing basketball."

The witch with the trolley of sweats and asked, "Would you like anything from the trolley?"

Maria said, "No thank you."

Zack replied, "I'll have two chocolate frogs, please." He paid for his candy.

Cody said, "I'll have two licorice wands, please." He paid for his candy.

Maria asked, "What house are you going to be in?"

Zack answered, "I hope Gryffindor."

Cody said, "I'll probably be put in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw."

Maria said, "I'm in Hufflepuff. You two better put your robes on because we'll be there soon."

Cody and Zack went to bathroom and put on their robes. They sat back down. They arrived at the Hogsmeade station and followed Hagrid to the boats. They arrived at the castle and went inside after a speech by Neville.

The Sorting hat sung, "Oh you may not think me pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;

After the first years were sorted, Headmistress McGongal said kindly, "We have to two American Transfer Students, Zack and Cody Martin; they are going to do their 5th year. Martin, Cody!"

Cody sat down and put the Sorting Hat on. The hat whispered, "You are very smart, loyal, and brave. You will be great in Ravenclaw. You could also be a great Hufflepuff."

Cody whispered, "Put me in the best house for me."

The Sorting Hat yelled, "Gryffindor." Cody took off the hat and walked to the Gryffindor table.

Prof. McGongal called, "Zack Martin!"

Zack sat down on the stool and put the hat on. The hat whispered, "You love pulling pranks and getting into trouble; you are also smart when you think."

Zack said, "Put me in Gryffindor with my brother."

The Sorting Hat yelled, "Gryffindor!" Zack took off the hat and sat down next to his brother.

Prof. McGongel announced, "We have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Albert Manson and a new Potions professor, Blaise Zambini. You may eat."

The food appeared. Zack dug into his food and said, "This food is amazing."

The brown haired boy with brown eyes sitting next to Zack and said grossed out, "Stop eating like an animal."

Zack said, "Sorry, I'm Zack Martin and this my twin brother, Cody."

The boy replied, "Henry Wood, I'm a 5th year."

An Asian boy said, "I'm Lee Wang, 5th year. We love playing pranks."

A red haired small boy with blue eyes said, "I'm Tim Wilder. I like to pull pranks with Henry and Lee. The prefects are Evan Aries and Kelsey Aries, they're twins and like to take off points from our house."

Prof. McGonagal said, "Prefects, lead the first years to your common room."

Henry, Lee, Tim, Zack, and Cody walked to the Gryffindor Tower. The Fat Lady asked, "Password, please?"

A brown haired girl with green eyes, Kelsey said, "Boy-Who-Lived." The painting swung open. They all slid inside to big room.

Tim said, "We'll show to our dorm room." They went up to their dorm and discovered they were all in the same dorm.

Lee said, "I'm glad that Evan isn't in our dorm this year. We should go to bed."

Cody said, "I'm glad that I have more friends, here." They got into their beds and fell asleep.

Cody got up first and showered; he put on his robes. He yelled, "GUYS, GET UP!"

Tim, Henry, Lee, and Zack each took a shower and got dressed in their robes. Zack said as they walked to the Great Hall for breakfast, "I love Hogwarts, no Mr. Moesby yelling at us." They help themselves to eggs, sausages, and toast with goblet of Pumpkin Juice.

Cody said, "I love Hogwarts' food."

Neville Longbottom handed out their schedules. Cody read his to himself:

Zack said, "We all got the same schedule." They headed to the dungeon.

Prof. Zambini said, "Hello, I'm Prof. Zambini. Today, we are going to make a Draught of Peace. The ingredients are on the board."

Zack and Cody made the potion just right. Prof. Zambini said, "10 points for Gryffindor for the only perfect potion. Class dismissed."

They went to their Defense Against the Dark Arts. Prof. Manson said, "I'm Prof. Manson. Today, we are going learn about the Patronus Charm. A Patronus is a A silvery-white, conjured creature created by using the Patronus Charm. The Patronus is used against Dementors and Lethifolds."

Cody, Tim, Henry, Zack, and Lee headed to lunch. Cody whispered to his friends, "Something about Prof. Manson is just not right."

Zack said, "Let's write to Harry."

They went to the Transfiguration with Prof. McGonagal and learned about Conjuring Spells. After Transfiguration, they went to Ancient Runes which was pretty interesting. They went into the common room. Cody grabbed a piece of parchment and wrote:

Hi Harry,
Zack and I got into Gryffindor. We made four friends, Maria Gudgeon, Lee Wang, Tim Wilder, Henry Wood. Maria is in Hufflepuff; she's so pretty. Lee, Tim, and Henry are also in Gryffindor. Something about our DADA professor, Albert Manson doesn't seem right.
Bye,
Cody and Zack.

Cody whispered to Elmira, "Take this to Harry." Elmira flew off. They headed to dinner. They ate dinner and walked around the castle. Cody saw Elmira with a letter and a package from Harry in the common room. He read the letter:

Hey Cody and Zack
I hope you and your friends aren't as stupid as my friends and I were. My DADA professors had a problem, too. In the package is the Marauder's Map and my Invisibility Cloak. To look at the map, you must touch the map with your wand and say "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." To deactivate, you say "Mischief managed," upon which the map goes blank. I trust you to take care of them for me.
Harry.

Cody said amazed as he opened the package, "WOW!"

Zack said, "Neat."

Tim asked, "Do you know Harry Potter?"

Cody said, "We stayed with him during the summer. I'm tired." They went to bed.

On Friday after breakfast, Zack, Cody, Tim, Lee, and Henry went to the Quiditch Pitch. Tim wasn't trying out for the team. A 7th year boy, Justin Macabeth was the captain and a chaser. Justin said, "We need a two Chasers, Seeker and a Keeper. The Beaters are Lionel and Marcus Birch, 6th years. Cody Martin, mount your broom and look for the Snitch."

Cody flew on his broom and caught the snitch as soon as he saw it. He exclaimed holding the Snitch, "I did it!"

Justin said, "Zack, get into the Goal Posts and block as many Quaffles as I try to threw into the hoops."

Zack blocked 8 of 10 goals and said happily, "Hogwarts is the best school ever."

Justin said, "Henry and Lee, I want you to pass the Quaffle a couple times to each other and then shot it into the goal five times."

Henry and Lee got the Quaffle into the goal 4 out of 5 times. Henry said, "We make a good time."

Justin said, "The Seeker is Cody Martin. The Keeper is Zack Martin. The Chasers are Henry Wood and Lee Wang."

They went to lunch and wolfed down their lunch. They went into their common room and did their homework. Zack said bored, "Let's plan a prank on the girls."

Henry said, "Sounds like fun."

Lee said, "I'm in."

Tim said, "Cool."

Cody said annoyed, "I don't want us to get detention the first week."

Zack said teasingly, "Chicken!"

Cody said giving in, "Okay but only one girl."

Zack said coolly, "Kelsey."

Cody explained, "Let's put Spellotape on her book bag."

Zack said taking a roll of Spellotape out, "Sounds good. Her bag is black shiny leather one." They walked to Kelsey's book bag and taped it closed. They ran off to dinner.

Kelsey tried to open her bag and yelled, "I CAN'T OPEN MY BAG BECAUSE THERE IS SPELLOTAPE ON IT! ZACK, CODY, TIM, HENRY, AND LEE, I HATE YOU FIVE!"

Prof. Manson said, "Zack, Cody, Henry, Tim, and Lee, detention at 8 o'clock with me."

After dinner, Zack, Cody, Tim, Lee, and Henry went to Prof. Manson's office which was filled a lot of books about the Defense Against the Dark Arts and items for warding off the Dark Arts. Prof. Manson said, "You five, I want you organize the books by alphabetical order without magic."

Zack groaned and said, "This will take all night."

Prof. Manson said coldly, "That's what you get for playing pranks. Get to it."

They placed a few books in order. Cody smelled something awful and threw up. Prof. Manson said, "Cody, go to the Hospital Wing for a Stomach Settling Potion."

Cody found the Hospital Wing and went inside. Madame Pomfrey asked worriedly, "Mr. Cody Martin, what is wrong?"

Cody replied shyly, "I threw up in detention with Prof. Manson after I smelt a horrid smell in his office."

Madame Pomfrey said strictly, "Lie down on the cot over there. I'll get you some Stomach Settling Potion."

Cody said as he lay down on the cot, "Okay."

Madame Pomfrey brought back a vial of a disgusting looking pink potion and handed it to him. She said strictly, "Cody, drink it all."

Cody gulped the potion down and felt his stomach settle down immediately. He said, "Thanks."

Madame Pomfrey said strictly, "You are staying here for the night."

Cody nodded and said, "I'll finally get a good night's sleep." He fell asleep.

Great updates! I can see that Cody isn't doing so well adjusting to the school - after the bad smell in the office that is. And it appears that the new students are going to have challenges to face as Harry and his friends did prior to them. Adding Harry's letter and his advice was a nice addition! Great chapters!!
