Candy and Love
Roswell CC – M/M
Rating: Teen
Disclaimer: I don't own anything - except for Spike the Minivan. Roswell and it's characters belong to Melinda Metz and Jason Katims. She created them, he killed them. I'm just trying to bring them back to life.
This is for Nibbles2 who requested some Candy love with Candy as the prompt
“Tell me again why we’re doing this?” Michael grumbled to Max.
“Michael, it’s almost Valentine’s Day,” Max explained patiently. “Giving candy is one of the traditional ways to show someone you care about them.”
“Yeah, fine, whatever,” Michael grumbled, looking at the prepackaged gift boxes of chocolates. “Holy shit, Maxwell, did you get a look at these prices?”
“I’ll admit, they’re a bit expensive,” Max admitted. “But Michael, you can’t put a price on love.”
“Jesus, will you listen to yourself, Max,” Michael all but shouted. “You are totally brainwashed by all this – this bullshit! You love Liz, I get that, she gets that. Jesus, everyone that sees you gets that. You don’t need to spend $50.00 on a box of chocolates to prove it to her.”
Max looked up and caught a glimpse of Maria, frozen in place in one of the other aisles in a security mirror mounted on the wall.
“Are you telling me that Maria isn’t worth $50.00?” he asked?
“No, I’m not telling you that, you jack ass,” said Michael. “There isn’t any amount of money in the world that could compare to the way I feel about Maria. Jesus Max, I love her more than anything in her world or ours, and if she doesn’t know that, no amount of chocolate in the world is ever going to change it.”
Max shot another look in the security mirror and saw the tears sliding silently down Maria’s cheeks.
“You know what, Michael? I think you’re absolutely right. Let’s go home.”
