Okay well basically once upon a time there was this place called Atlantis( you know the one that sunk to the bottom of the ocean). It's where the childern of Apollo the Apollites lived. Once Apollo had an affair with a maiden and when he had this afair she became pregnant. Well lets just say someone got jealous and in short terms the maiden of 27 years of age was killed, so Apollo in rage had destroyed Atlantis and since his love died at the age of 27 he cursed the Apollites to die at the age of 27. Some how they had in turn had the option of dying at the age of 27 an agonizing death or turn into an Damion (soul sucking vampire). Becuase of this Apollos sister Artemis (goddes of the hunt) Greated Dark Hunters to protect the human world against vampires. She took aliking to one of the first Dark Hunters(who's not what he seems) named Ash or Acheron. Ash is the leader of the dark hunters and inorder to control him she created more Dark Hunters through out the cenutries so Ash wouldn't leave her. There's more than Dark Hunters in the series. There is a protection pyramid where Dark Hunters Protect at night the Were Hunters ( arcadian humans who turn into animals and Kategria animals who turn into humans both at war with each other) are the protectors during the day and then they are Dream Hunters who protect the Dreams. If you visit her site she has a lot of infomation on the different branches

But as I described it before it's like Buffy meets Sex and the City, which is how it's been decscribed by other authors. You'll fall in love with the characters. They'll make you laugh and cry and rack your bring trying to find everything out.

Howdy all~
I, for one, am completely in love with this book series. I just love Nick, and I have to admit having a soft spot for Valerius. Just something about a tortured soul that gets me. Now all I have to do is find the patience to wait for the next book.
Also, have any of you checked out Sherrilyn's site about her new series, coming out in January... the Avalon. I'm kinda excited about those too... anyone else?

In January I'm looking forward to Wren's book! But yeah I kind of like to read the Avalon series. I'm not really into historicals but if it's something like Karen Marie Morning's Highlander series I'll read them.

Ella.... I have to agree with you completely. I am not a big fan of historical romance novels whatsoever.... with the exception of the KMM Highlander Series. However, something about the Avalon books just appeals to me... so I know that I will be checking those out when they are released.

wow, that really sounds interesting! i know several people who are into these books, but never really knew the premis.
being half vampire myself (coming alive at night, blinded by the sun's rays & scorched by it's heat are just a few of my symptoms LOL), i love to read vamp books (anne rice being my favorite).

I wasn't a huge fan of Acheron...i LOVED the first half, but Ash isn't someone who should get the "happy ending" It just doesn't go with his character imo

Every one deserves a happy ending even the Big Bad Ash

99.9% of the time i'd totally agree with you, but for Ash, it just seems - wrong - i mean, i WANT him to have a happy ending, but it just doesn't seem like he's SUPPOSED to get it.
