An introduction to Fan Fic.

AU: Alternate Universe. Changes something from the world that it is based in. (ex. AU fic from Roswell could be that the characters are the same but they live in Florida instead and/or they aren't aliens.)

Beta: person who edits fanfic.

CC: Conventional Couples. Characters you would normal see paired together.

Disclaimer: Statement that you don't own the Characters/World that you write about. Helps keep you from being sued.

Fan Fic: Fictional Works written by fans using the Characters or World of TV, Books and Movies.

Feedback: Review posted on the board. (Please be kind and leave feedback. It takes seconds and makes someone's day.)

Flames: Negative, bashing feedback. (Please no flaming on the board.)

Rating: We have a new rating system posted in every fic forum

Slash: Same sex pairings. Generally threesomes will be included in this too. (Forewarned is fairwarned, no flames.)

Twincest: Twins in an incestual relationship. (Forewarned is fairwarned, no flames.) - twincest is NOT allowed, nor is any type of incest, or child molestation

UC: Unconventional couples. Pairings different than the couples you would normally see together.

I thought we said no incest allowed?

we did..this is from the old forum and I forgot to edit that out..grrrr argh. But this is not the rules and regs, this is only a primer of terms etc.

ok, just you know . . clarifying in case someone should get confused.
