<p data-start="1010" data-end="1142">This Case File is Part 1 of the <strong data-start="1042" data-end="1066">Courage &amp; Legacy Arc</strong>—a four-part character development sequence that includes Case Files #10–13.</p>
<p data-start="1144" data-end="1180">Each unit may be used independently.</p>
<p data-start="1182" data-end="1349">However, when combined, the optional extension activities build into a cumulative <strong data-start="1264" data-end="1294">Courage &amp; Legacy Portfolio</strong>, guiding students through a developmental progression:</p>

<p data-start="1749" data-end="1795">Teachers may select one of three depth levels:</p>
<p data-start="1797" data-end="1891">Level 1 – Reflect<br data-start="1814" data-end="1817" />Students analyze a moment of moral courage and examine its ripple effects.</p>
<p data-start="1893" data-end="1995">Level 2 – Visualize<br data-start="1912" data-end="1915" />Students create a Ripple Map illustrating short-term and long-term consequences.</p>
<p data-start="1997" data-end="2138">Level 3 – Act (Optional)<br data-start="2021" data-end="2024" />Students design and complete a safe, school-appropriate real-world act of moral courage and reflect on its impact.</p>
<p data-start="2140" data-end="2232">This extension is fully explained in the Teacher Guide and requires no additional materials.</p>
