inspiration from wherever you can, and today, it’s from a Buddhist monk and a movie/musical.
I’ve been thinking a lot about smiles lately. Mostly because I lost a filling in a front tooth, and I was miserable. I felt like there was a gaping whole in my mouth and I was so upset because I couldn’t comfortably smile. As I was waiting for the dentist to get back to me, I noticed something. I wasn’t missing the opportunity to smile because apparently, I didn’t smile anywhere near as much as I thought I did. It was kind of depressing.
Well the tooth got fixed right away, and you know what, so did my smile. I have been smiling a lot more since then. I’m making a conscious effort to smile, because even though there may not be an abundance of joy in my life at any given time, my smile could be bringing an abundance of joy to someone else.
