What Can YOU Accomplish?

Some of the world’s greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible.~ Doug Larson

I’m having a love hate relationship with this particular quote.  I’m taking exception to the phrasing not smart enough.  I prefer to think that maybe they just weren’t aware that it was impossible.  Way back in March of 2009, I wrote about bumble bees and the fact that when it comes right down to it, bumble bees really shouldn’t be able to fly – but nobody bothered to explain that to the bees, so they fly their little hearts out.

If you have something you really want to do, or create or try, don’t listen to the naysayers.  Don’t get bogged down in their doubts of others.  If you want to do it, you will find a way to do it.  Think about Galileo or Columbus.  They went against the current thinking of their time and were ridiculed and in Galileo’s case imprisoned.  They didn’t back down from their beliefs and in time, both were proven right.

Who knows, maybe what you want to undertake will change the world in some far reaching way.  You’re never going to know until you try, and you’re not going to try if you continue to listen to all the doubting Thomas’s who say it can’t be done.  Believe in yourself and you will succeed.
