How many times have you looked at someone who totally has it going on and thought, “They are SO lucky!” If you are like me, probably quite often. I find myself looking at people who have achieved success and attributed it to chance, or luck. It’s really not
though. Really, I don’t think luck has anything to do with it. Fate,or coincidence? Maybe. But more often than that, it’s that the people in question have worked and prepared. They have taken steps to ensure their success, that way when that mystical force called luck occurs, they are ready. They have laid the groundwork for their success.
Think about a professional dancer. They spend years, working and studying and preparing. The are honing their muscles and developing their skills. They are still going to need an opportunity to show what they can do, but when they get that opportunity, they’ll be ready, because they’ve been working. Luck isn’t going to get them anywhere when they get that opportunity if they haven’t prepared for it.
Instead of sitting around, waiting for fate to step in and take you by the hand, start working. Build that foundation for your success. Then, when opportunity knocks, you’ll be ready to let it in.
