Good Intentions

Share on:

Make the most of today. Translate your good intentions into actual deeds. – Grenville Kleiser

One of my students today asked what intentions were.  I told him and gave him an example, and we then went on to talk about how we can have the best of intentions, but unless they are put in to play, they are worthless.

I have tons of great intentions.  I’m going to eat better, I’m going to exercise more, I’m going to blog consistently, and I’m going to be more organized.  But you know what they say about intentions and how they pave the road to a less savory place.  Now I realize that my intentions are all pretty self-serving, and as I think about it, that’s actually okay.  You have to be able to help yourself before you can help others.

So why not pick one of those good intentions.  It can be directed toward yourself, or others, and put it into play.  Just one.  Start small, set up a plan and follow through and see how it makes you feel.  I’m guessing you’ll feel pretty amazing.
