Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think. – Horace
Yes, I know my Latin is completely wrong in the title – no worries, I did it on purpose 🙂 Let’s talk about living our lives to their fullest. I know I THINK that I do that, but when I was reflecting upon this quote, I realized that I don’t. Not only do I
NOT live my life to the fullest, I play it so safe, I’m heading into boredsville!
Think back to when you were a kid. We were outside all day, trying new things, being bold and daring (at least in our own minds) and living and enjoying our lives. I know as adults, we have responsibilities. We have places to go, things to do, people to see and bills to pay. I’m not saying we should shirk our responsibilities. Not at all! What we need to do is find a way to capture that joie de vivre we had when we were children. That absolute feeling of happiness and joy. If we can find a way to incorporate that feeling back into our lives, we will in fact be seizing our day and living our lives to the fullest!
