Failing

Share on:

You may only succeed if you desire succeeding; you may only fail if you do not mind failing.- Philippos

I read this quote several times, and couldn’t wrap my mind around it.  I mean, really, who doesn’t mind failing?  Then I really thought about it.  It’s not that people don’t mind failing, it’s more like we accept the fact that it may take one or two tries, or more, to achieve success.  Some people may say that it’s being realisitic, but I’m not sure.  I think from now on, when I undertake something new, I’m not going to think that it’s may take a few tries to achieve the results that I want.  From now on, I’m aiming high – success the first time out!
