Don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good. -Voltaire
Sorry for the delay with yesterday’s post. It was move your kids back to college weekend in my house! But the quote ties in very well with a conversation I had with child A on our trip back to campus on Sunday. So often, people strive
for perfection and will use any means possible to attain it. Those means aren’t always the nicest of means, and it’s not good. My busy little student pointed out a perfect example of this. She was co-chairing a committee with someone, and the other person was so focused on having everyone see what an amazing job he was doing – so focused that it didn’t matter who he threw under the bus. That is NOT the way you want to get it done. It’s better to be the good person than it is to be the perfect person.
I’m hit with a problem again – The daily positive thought mailing list is growing by leaps and bounds, which is great, but because this is free, I’m limited to how many emails I can send and how many people I can have on this list. If every person on this list donated $1.00 a year, there wouldn’t be any issues in sending unlimited emails to unlimited people on the list. If you are interested in donating, there is a link available on our website Think Positive 30.
My only other option is going to be to send out one email a week with a week’s worth of Daily Positive Thoughts. But even then, I can only have 2,000 people on the list. As far as problems, go, it’s kind of great because the list is growing and people are getting their daily post of positive goodness 🙂 Hopefully it can continue.
