Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses. Alphonse Karr
And once again, I am amazed at how perfectly these quotes work out for me. I seriously pick out the quote of the day a week or more in advance, queue them up and they are sent out automatically on twitter and via email our email list. I truly don’t give them much thought again until they pop up in my twitter feed and in my email. It amazes me how often they tie in with my general mood, or with a difficulty I am facing. I’m in the glumps today. Nothing seems good and nothing seems right. No particular reason, I just am. Well maybe there are a few reasons, lol. Enter today’s quote and it’s like a slap in the face. Yeah, I’m in a glumpy mood, and I can focus on that, or I can look at it and say…well the glumps kind of suck, but just think about how much more I’m going to appreciate the good mood when I unglump myself. And that right there, that little thought has started the unglumping process. I remembered that I have the power to change my mood. I can look at the things that have made me glumpy and turn them around until I see the good in them. Some of them are pretty easy to find good….a few are like my own personal Mt. Everests, but it’s okay….I will find my way to conquor them as well.
Have a great day….I think I’ll start turning mine around and have a good one as well 🙂
