Nothing can make our life, or the lives of other people, more beautiful than perpetual kindness.— Leo Tolstoy
One would think that it would not be necessary to even blog about being kind. It should just happen. We should be kind to everybody and everybody should be kind to us. When you think about it, being kind is the best gift we could ever give anybody, and yet so often we don’t. Maybe it’s because it’s hard to be kind to someone who has treated you poorly, but they’re probably the ones who need your kindness the most. It’s hard to be kind to strangers because you don’t know how they’re going to react, but if you do, you may be reaching out to someone in need. It’s hard to put yourself out there and be kind to people because you don’t know what their reaction will be. I think maybe it would be better to forget about their reactions and focus on how good the kindness makes you feel.
