What is Strength?

Share on:

Real strength is not just a condition of one’s muscle, but a tenderness in one’s spirit. – McCallister Dodds

I’ve been giving a lot of thought lately to what is real strength.  I do not consider myself a strong person, at least, not physically, and that’s pretty much how society measures strenght.  But strenght is more than just how much

You can be strong emotionally, or mentally, or strong of spirit.  There are many different measures of strength.  The thing is, none of them are any more or less important than the other.  We want to develop all those strengths – at least I do.  Physical strenght is important because it is a measure of how healthy you are and how you take care of yourself.  But the otehrs are just as important.  We need to exercise our brains and keep our minds strong, as we do our emotional selves and our spirits.  So when you take the time to exercise one, don’t forget about the others.
