Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly. – Langston Hughes
I cannot fathom what life would be like without a dream. To me, they are more a necessity than breathing. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating just a bit with that one, but really, dreams are so important. Without them, what do we have to live for? I’m fortunate, I have a pretty great life. I may whine about things, but when you get right down to it, I have it good. There are people who are suffering from debilitating illnesses, or living in abject poverty, and who probably have every reason to just give in to despair. But as long as they have a dream – any dream. Just the smallest spark of a dream and they can hold tight. That dream – that hope is the very thing that will help them take flight. So do whatever it is you need to do to keep the dream alive.
