It Doesn’t Matter

Share on:

You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do. – Elenor Roosevelt

I’m wondering something.  How many of you have some event in your life (usually embarrassing as heck) that you can’t seem to let go of?  I have tons of them, and I tend to fixate on them.  I remember them, I worry about the other people involved, how it made them feel, did it bother them, are they still laughing at me?  Guess what, chances are they don’t care, they probably never did care, and they probably never will care about whatever event it may be.  I sometimes think we think we’re way more important to other people than we are.  I don’t mean that in a bad way.  We have people that we care about and that care about us, but in the grand scheme of things, we are nothing more than a blip on the radar of the other people around us.  They, like us, are so busy focusing on what’s going on in their lives. They don’t have time to think about us.  So guess what, do your own thing, and live your own life!  Don’t get caught up worrying about what others think of you, and don’t let what others think of you stop you from doing what you love, because when it comes right down to it, they’re too busy thinking bout themselves to think about you.
