It’s all About the Now

Share on:

Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed. – Wayne Dwyer

I’m struggling with this quote today because I’m kind of stuck in the past.  I have a few things that I’m holding on to and just cannot seem to let go of.  The thing is, the past is over and done with.  There is no time machine and there is no going back.  That being said, letting go can be a challenge, but I know I am up to that challenge.  The only thing that is guaranteed in this life is right now.  You can plan FOR the future, but you can’t plan ON the future. So my goal for myself is to release the baggage that I’m hanging on to, and really make the most out of my now. It’s what we all should be doing!  Sorry about the brevity of the post tonight.  Sometimes it’s hard to say what you want to say without sounding preachy.  That is so not me, but I’m feeling like everything I have to say about this subject sounds that way.  It’s hard to find the balance between remembering and learning from the past,  living in the now and planning for the future.  You can’t not plan, but you can’t become so obsessed with the planning that you forget to live.  Remember that and all will be fairly well in your world.
