Don’t Make it Harder Than it Needs to be

Don’t make a change too complicated, just begin. — Unknown

This is probably the biggest no brainer in the history of no brainers, but for me, it’s one of my biggest stumbling blocks.  When I want to make a change, or start something new, I get so caught up on making plans and getting organized that I never get started. Don’t make it harder than it needs don't make it harder than it needs to beto be, just start doing it.

Think about when you want to start a new work out program.  You go out and buy new sneakers, workout gear, a fitbit, and maybe join a gym.  You read the blogs, make a schedule, talk to people about what they’re doing, and head to the health food store for supplements.  You’ve done everything you need to do except start exercising.  I’m super familiar with this one, lol.  It’s not that you’re procrastinating (I am, but you’re probably not) it’s more that you get so caught up in the plans that you forget to execute them.

Change doesn’t have to be complicated and you don’t need to make it harder than it needs to be.  You just need to do it.  Figure out what you need to do, and then start.  If your desire is strong enough, you’ll get it done. We talked about that yesterday.  If you want to make a change, you have to want it, and then, don’t complicate it.  Just get it done.
