Do The Work

Share on:

Confidence is the most important single factor in this game, and no matter how great your talent, there is only one way to obtain it-work.~ Jack Nicklaus

do the workIf you want to be successful at anything in life, talent is great, but confidence is what gives that talent the extra oomph.  And you do you get the confidence.  Simple you have to do that work.  You have to put the time in, and practice, study, research, or whatever it is you do.  You need to work and put effort in to feel confidence with what you’re doing.  And when you’re confident in yourself, the sky is the limit.

Maybe you’re a musician and you have a big audition coming up.  If you’re not confident when you walk into that room, you’re probably not going to do your best, right?  But if you have put in the effort and really practiced, then you’ll have that natural sense of confidence.  You’ll know you couldn’t prepare any more than you already have.  You may still be nervous, and that’s okay.  You’ll still have that underlying base of confidence because you know you did it.  You knew you needed to do the work.

Do the work, put in the effort, strengthen the natural talent that you have and know that the confidence you have because you did do the work will help you to reach your gaols.
