Gratitude should be directed at everything in this life.
– Brenda Nathan
If I say it’s all about gratitude, you’re probably going to think that I’m drinking the law of attraction kool-aid or something. Well, I kind of am, but in another way, it’s just common sense. Having gratitude is such a simple, but great way to improve your mood. I know that Thanksgiving is our “prime
time” for gratitude, but honestly, we should be grateful every day. Being grateful can change your life.
I know there are people who think they don’t have anything to be grateful for, and that saddens me. I think we all have something to be grateful for. It may take some searching for, but it’s there. There are so many different things you can do to help yourself be more grateful. One simple thing is to just appreciate the day. Appreciate the sunshine, or the rain or even just the view from your window. It’s all about gratitude.
I’m sure I’ve shared before that I am not a morning person. Usually when the alarm rings, I hit snooze a couple of times, but when I finally do reach consciousness, I try to just lay quietly and run through my upcoming day. I’m going to try and do something different. I’ll still run through my day, but I’m also going to take a minute and think about what I am grateful for. What can you do to help yourself be more grateful? Maybe start a gratitude journal, or if you’re a religious person, be grateful in your prayers. How you do it is up to you, but do it. It’s all about gratitude.
