Don’t Rain on My Parade

Share on:

No person has the right to rain on your dreams. — Martin Luther King Jr.

I love just about everything Dr. King had to say, and I know it seems a tad bit disrespectful, but I cannot read this quote without seeing Lea Michele as Rachel Berry on Glee singing Don’t Rain on my Parade. It’s a good song with a great message, much like this quote.   Don’t let someone rain on your parade, or your dreams.  They don’t have that right, and don’t give them that kind of power.  Your dreams are special, just because they are yours.  Take those dreams and put the umbrella up to keep those rain cloudy people from raining down on them and stealing them from you.
