Words Have Power

Share on:

I wish more people would understand just how much their words and actions affect others. Karen Salmansohn

Our words have power.  They have the power to help, and they have the power to hurt.  How you use them is up to you.  I’ve seen words lift someone’s spirits and make them feel as if they were capable of conquoring anything the world throws at them.  I’ve also seen words totally decimate somebody’s spirit.  Sadly, I’ve probably done that myself to people.  It’s something that we have to watch.  Our words can hurt so much, but we have to be careful, because while the physical scars may heal, the scars left by a verbal attack may take months or even years to heal.  So choose your words wisely, and kindly and use them to build rather than to destroy.
