Don’t Settle

Share on:

It’s a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it. —W. Somerset Maugham

How many times have you settled?  Have you ever once said that something was good enough?  If you have, you’ve settled.  Don’t settle.  Always aim for the highest point you can imagine.

don't settleWhen you set your sights high, and strive continually to attain them, you’ll start reaching them.  If you consistently set your sights low (settling) guess what you’re going to be reaching?  Why would you do that to yourself.  Always aim high….and here is something I think is super important.  Aim higher than you think that you deserve?  Why?  Because most of us usually think we’re not deserving or not worthy.  You are worthy and you are deserving.  You are deserving of the best of the best, but unless you aim for it and try for it.  You’re not going to get it.

Don’t settle.  Don’t say that something is good enough.  If it’s work that you’re doing, do you want it to be good enough?  Or do you want it to be the best representation of your work ever?  What you choose says a lot about you.  Anything that leaves your hands should be the highest quality you are capable of creating.  Other people deserve your best, and more importantly, you deserve your best.  You deserve to have pride in what you do, to look at it and say “Hey, I did that!”  Don’t settle.  Do your best, put your best effort out there.  Don’t settle.  Be it in work, relationships or goals.  Always demand the best from yourself.  Once you get the best from yourself, you’ll start getting the best from everybody else.  Don’t settle.
