It’s Okay to Fail

Share on:

Failure is the key to success; each mistake teaches us something. ~ Morihei Ueshiba

It’s okay to fail.  Boy does that sound wrong.  Except that it’s not wrong, as long as we learn from our failure. It’s kind of a hard concept to wrap your it's okay to failmind around.  Seriously, just think about it. We spend all that time in school trying to get good grades and being told that failing is bad. Even when your parents said “I don’t care how you do, as long as you try your best,” you knew they cared, and they didn’t want you to fail. Now here I am saying it’s okay, as long as you learn.

Imagine the amazing things you could accomplish if you stopped worrying about failing and just tried your best!  But it’s really difficult to let go of something that has been such a huge part of your life.  But try, just try to let go of the idea that failure is a bad thing, unless you’re performing surgery or disarming a bomb or something. But in everyday life, it’s okay to fail.  It’s okay to make mistakes, and it’s okay to try again, and again and again.  If fact, don’t ever stop trying.  Every time you fail, learn something and move on.  You’ll accomplish great and amazing things.
