I’ll begin by saying though I found this quote attributed to Mark Twain, there is some doubt about who said it.  Regardless of who said it, these are some amazing rules to live by.  When I read this quote, all I could think about were little kids.  They really live by this quote.  They don’t care if they can sing or not, they sing at the top of their lungs.  They love just about everybody without reservation and the can and do dance with abandon.

Life was good back then, when we didn’t care about what anybody thought.  We never even gave it a thought.  We just did whatever popped into our heads.  I can remember being like this, and I can remember just being happy.  But society (read people) start telling us how we’re supposed to act, what we’re supposed to do, when we’re supposed to do it and what is acceptable and what isn’t.  And society tends to tell us that randomly singing out loud, and dancing about are unacceptable.

The thing is, they shouldn’t be.  You should be able to live life to the fullest, and for you if that involves singing, dancing, loving and laughing.  Make being happy and living life on your terms your rules to live by.  Find your joy in what you do and not in conforming to the rules that pigeon-hole us and try and make us all the same.  Make your life be like heaven on earth.
