Oh, bless you, Tracie. A book forum. :heart I came here yesterday and there wasn't a place for HP discussion, and now there is. You the woman.

Can I just say, before discussing the book, that my Muse is now screaming in my ear?! :lol Since Christmas, Muse-y-poo has completely abandoned me, forgetting all about Hogwarts, etc. And now, all I can think of is writing my version of Bill & Phlegm's (;)) wedding at the Burrow. :P

I just reread Spinners End, and I am convinced, more than ever that Snape and Dumbledore had a meeting we knew nothing about, and in that meeting, Snape told all about voldie's plan, and Dumbledore made an unbreakable curse with Snape making him promise to end his life, rather than allow Draco to do it.

Dumbledore was NOT pleading for his life...after all, death is just the next great adventure...he was pleading with Snape for him to END his life.

Yeah, I know there's more than meets the eye with that whole situation. We witnessed Dumbledore's death through Harry's eyes, but there's a whole lot we know he doesn't know. Therefore we don't know. ARGH!

My mind has been reeling about horcruxes, though. A lot of theories have surfaced where either A) Ginny's a horcrux ("Powerful enough to start feeding Miss Weasley a few of my secrets, to start pouring a little of my soul back into her..." from Chamber of Secrets) or B) Harry's a horcrux (as a result of Voldie's unsuccessful attempt on his life as a baby), or C) they're BOTH horcruxes and, D) one or both of them has to die to put an end to Voldemort.

Well, I (as you know I would be) am OK with the theories of Ginny and/or Harry being a horcrux...but I'm not so down with either of them dying. :( Anyone have any input on this?

Just posted this at the Castle, but thought I'd post it here too:

JUST HAD A THOUGHT!!!

I was looking at the illustration in Chamber of Secrets, where the basilisk's fang is destroying Tom Riddle's diary and thought...maybe that's what Aragog's venom will be used for. For destroying horcruxes. Hope no human has to swallow any, though. At least, not any human we care about (i.e. Harry or Ginny).

On the subject of couple Harry and Ginny! Yeah! I knew it! I can't believe the Angst and Tragedy of Harry having Dumbledore taking that potion! Did anyone see Snape as the Half-Blood Prince? I didn't! I love how they are taking it back to Godric's Hollow. Well.. enough of my rambling!

I did. I highly suspected Snape when "Half-Blood Prince" turned up being the owner of a Potions book, but I was certain when Harry started stating he learned more from the so-called "Prince" than he ever did from Snape! Then I was like, "You are so gonna eat your words, Potter!" :lol

:heart I loved the "creature" living in Harry's chest. You know the one that wanted to rip Dean apart? And it was so nice to see Harry crushing on Ginny for a change. He deserved a little bit of misery after making her put her elbow in the butterdish, etc. when she was younger. ;)

I have a theory that it's a demon, a dancing demon, nah something isn't right here...

oh wait...wrong venue :lol

Okay....Anybody think that perhaps that wasn't Dumblydorre after all. When you're rereading, look at all the times he mentioned how clever and smart he was. That is SO unDumbledore like.

Methinks SOMEONE was at the polyjuice potion.

Also...I don't think Snape was the Half Blood Prince. Hermione kept harping on it being a woman's handwriting, and I don't think it was Snape's mom either. I'm wondering if it was Lily...not that she had dark side leanings, but Slugworth kept going on about her potions skills. Just a thought

Ha, you called him Slugworth too! :lol Damn Willy Wonka! ;)

I wish it weren't true, but I really think DD's dead. :(

On a related note, did you read the JKR interview from MuggleNet/TLC? Here are a couple interesting bits:
ES: I know Dumbledore likes to see the good in people but he seems trusting almost to the point of recklessness sometimes.

[Laughter] Yes, I would agree. I would agree.

ES: How can someone so -

JKR: Intelligent -

ES: be so blind with regard to certain things?

JKR: Well, there is information on that to come, in seven. But I would say that I think it has been demonstrated, particularly in books five and six that immense brainpower does not protect you from emotional mistakes and I think Dumbledore really exemplifies that. In fact, I would tend to think that being very, very intelligent might create some problems and it has done for Dumbledore, because his wisdom has isolated him, and I think you can see that in the books, because where is his equal, where is his confidante, where is his partner? He has none of those things. He’s always the one who gives, he’s always the one who has the insight and has the knowledge. So I think that, while I ask the reader to accept that McGonagall is a very worthy second in command, she is not an equal. You have a slightly circuitous answer, but I can't get much closer than that.
MA: OK, big big big book six question. Is Snape evil?

JKR: [Almost laughing] Well, you've read the book, what do you think?

ES: She's trying to make you say it categorically.

MA: Well, there are conspiracy theorists, and there are people who will claim -

JKR: Cling to some desperate hope [laughter] -

ES: Yes!

MA: Yes!

ES: Like certain shippers we know!

[All laugh]

JKR: Well, okay, I'm obviously – Harry-Snape is now as personal, if not more so, than Harry-Voldemort. I can't answer that question because it's a spoiler, isn't it, whatever I say, and obviously, it has such a huge impact on what will happen when they meet again that I can't. And let's face it, it's going to launch 10,000 theories and I'm going to get a big kick out of reading them so [laughs] I'm evil but I just like the theories, I love the theories.
I just don't know WHAT to think anymore!! :? *bawls*

Denial. It works, eh?! :lol Sign me up.

But, there's just NO denying...Harry hearts Ginny. *sigh* Was watching the Chamber film yesterday, and when Malfoy told Harry (in Flourish & Blotts) that he'd found himself a girlfriend, I squealed like a 12-year-old. Hee. :grin Draco Malfoy, the world's first H/G 'shipper. :lol

Much better than Old Trelawney, the boozer!

Which reminds me, there was a lot of booze in the book, period. Anyone else notice that, or just me?? :lol

Oh, I know. :sob :pout And when they went into the headmaster's office with McGonagall, and Dumbledore's portrait was already hanging on the wall. :(

The thing that i found sad was where Hagrid tried to get Harry away from Dumbledore's body and he kept saying no!!

Also when Harry kept telling Dumbledore that the potion was something to make the pain stop!!

So, maybe he pulled a Gandalf (LOTR)??

I know! And then it was finally Ginny's hand that he took!

That was so heart-wrenching. That had to have been so hard for Harry to go through with.

WHAT??! Now more than ever they need to give up that fight. Hermione belongs with Won-Won, plus our Harry has still got it bad for Ginny. Being noble and breaking up because you don't want to risk the life of the one you care deeply about does NOT mean you'll be running off into the sunset with your best friend/homework coach and forgetting about the person you TRULY are meant to be with. :lol Dude.
