Summary: My take on what should have happen with EOTH. Michael and Maria never broke up and Alex and Isabel started dating. Its also the first of summer. Everything in season 2 happen up until now.

Diclaimer: I don't own Roswell or any of the Character. I make a couple of them up but I still don't own them.

Author notes: It's my first time writing a fic. So if you like it I would love to hear from you. And if you hate it please stick with it. You never know, it might Get better. Takes place in pov's.


Chapter 1

Liz


The laughing I was doing from Kyle's joke dies in my throat, as I look up and see Max standing outside the window. I would never believe that I would ever see that hurt on a persons face before. But it's not the hurt on his face that stops my breath, it's the hurt in my own heart, that I caused that look to begin with.


Tears come to his eyes as he drops the concert tickets and slowly walks back to the ladder from which he came.


After I can no longer see his head, my own tears start to fall and Kyle wraps his arms around me and I don't have the strength left to fight him on it. He just holds me for a moment before asking, "Liz are you going to be ok?" All I can do is shake my head no against his chest. He just keeps holding me for awhile before he asks, "Are you sure you want Evans to believe this?"


I lie there feeling the loss of my own heart. My head is still saying, 'this is the only way.' But my hear is screaming, 'NO, there has to be anoth way.' I lie there trying to decide, when I hear my grandma's voice say, 'Follow you heart Lizzie bear.' and I know that is what I have to do, or I would just die of a shattered soul.


With that thought in mind, I sit up and say, "Max, will you please come out here." Kyle looks at me like I've lost my mind. Then his face goes to a shocked look as Future Max steps out of the bathroom.


Kyle falls out of the bed and when I look down at him. I see that his lips are moving like was a fish out of water. Calmly I sate, "Relax Kyle. This is Max. But he is from 14 years in the future." Future Max just stands by the bathroom door with his arms folded across his chest. He raises his left eyebrow and ask, "What are you doing Liz?" I just ignore him and walk over to my closet to get some clothes. I have just pulled my pants on when Future Max half asks, half states, "Liz."


As I reach for a shirt, I tell him, "I can't do this." Future Max walks towards me while saying, "But you have to. Both this world and Antar depends on Tess staying and the Royal four being complete." After I have my shirt on, I turn to Future Max and say, "You told me you had faith in me. Well that's all I'm asking for. Just a little faith." Before he can say anything else, I turn to Kyle, who's still on the floor, just staring at Future Max. The whole thing would be so funny if it wasn't so serious.


Walking over to him, I say, "Kyle," but he doesn't seem to hear me. So I stand in front of him, blocking his view, and say, "Kyle," again. This time he looks up into my eyes and I can tell he's still to shocked to know what's going on. I take his hands in mine and help him sit up onto the bed. As he does, he looks over at Future Max again, then looks at me and asks, "Liz?" I just smile at him and say, "It's going to be ok Kyle. But I need you to do me another favor though." He looks at me and just bobs his head ok, so I continue, "Since mom and dad are out of town for the weekend. I want you to go down and have Marin and Michael close up the Crashdown." He bobs his head ok again, and I go on, "After she's done, ask Maria to come up here. Then I want you and Michael to go and find Max and bring him and everyone else back here to the crashdown." I'm interrupted by Future Max saying, "Liz, we both can't be in the same space." I look over at him and say, "Just have faith."

Chapter 2


Max


I almost fall the last couple of steps off the ladder. I can't think straight and I feel like I'm in so much pain. My heart can't believe what my mind is telling me my eyes saw was really. As I walk aimlessly, all I can see in my head is Liz and Kyle in bed together. It looked as though they had just got done making love. But that can't be true, because that should have been me instead.


As I keep waling, my thoughts go bact to what Liz said to me the other night. She wants a normal guy, someone whose life isn't always in danger. She wants to to to college, get married and have children. She doesn't wan to die for me. I knew most of this before she told me, because those are the things I dream about and wanted too. I just always dreamed those things would be with Liz. I realize, Liz just wants a normal guy, and she found that guy with Kyle.


Somehow I make it all the way to the park. As I walk by a bench, my legs give out from under me, and I collapse down onto the bench. I just sit there for what seems like hours trying to hold back the tears that are trying to fall. I hurt so badly, it feels like my heart has stopped and the rest of my body is suspended, waiting to die with it.

"Max" It comes so softly that I have to look up to make sure someone is really there. Tess is walking towards me. I bend my head, 'I really can't deal with this destiny crap tonight,' I thiink, as she walks up and ask, "Max, are you ok?" Still fighting off tears, and with my throat to clogged up to speak, I just shanke my head no.


She just stands there looking at me, before she ask, "Can I sit with you." I look up at her, really wonting to be along with my own thoughts. But when I look in her eyes, I can see that she wants to sit with me, because she wants to be a friend. So I say, "sure," and she sits down on the bench beside me. We're both silent for awhile before she ask, "Do you want to talk about it?" 'Do I want to talk about it? Yes just not with you,' goes throught my mind. But the person I want to talk about it with isn't here. So I clear my throat a little before answering, "No." Again we just sit there in complete silence. After awhile she ask, "Do you want me to leave?" I know she's just trying to be nice to me, and so fare has not brought up the destiny crap. So there no harm in us both just sitting here, so I say, "no," and with that we just sit there, lost in our own thoughts.

Sorry about lack of update. No excuss. I've just been stuck on the story and I have it planned out to go two ways. But I would like to know if you all think the parents should be told. Thanks for the feedback.


Chapter 3

Michael


Tonight has been a very quite night. I think in the last hour, we may have had a total of 6 people come in. With Maria in one of her funks about her mom and sheriff Valenti dating. It's made for a very long night.


We still have a little over 2 hours before we close. But most of the stuff is already done. I manly would just have to clean the grill and put the condiments up.


Just as I was going to get something to drink. Kyle comes running down the stairs. As he see's me heading towards the lobby he say's, "Michael, Liz wants you and Maria to close up the Crashdown. " I look back at him and wonder why. Not that I really mind since we are so slow. It's just that the Parkers hardly ever close early.


Before I can ask the question though, Maria comes back and ask, "What's going on?" Kyle just simply restates, "Liz wants you and Michael to close up. After you're done, she would like you to go upstairs. She has something to tell you. And someone for you to meet. "


For some reason, I start to feel really nervous after he says that. With a firm and demanding voice I ask, "Who does she want Maria to meet Valenti?"


Valenti just looks around nervously before saying, "Look, just close up the crashdown and clean up. Then while you and I are doing the other thing Liz asked me to do. I'll explain everything I know to you."


With that, I turn and watch as Maria turns around and goes and tells the elderly couple who's the only dinners, that we have to close early. I look back to Valenti and state, "Ok, but you will tell me what's going on when we get done." Valenti just bobs his head yes while replying, "While we go and look for Evans. I'll tell you what I know." With that I just bob my head once, before walking off to clean the grill and finish closing.


It takes me less than five minutes to completly close up the grill area. As I grab my keys out of my locker, I yell to Valenti, "So we need to find Maxwell. Then what do we do when we find him Valenti?" He's reply is short and to the point, "We bring him back here. Liz wants to tell him what really happened tonight. Plus there is someone he really has to meet." "Who," I ask, getting a little more upset with the way he is beating around the bush answering my questions. And what does he do instead, he ask, "Are you ready to go yet?"


I just shanke my head, getting more pissed of by the minute, thinking, 'how can I be a good second if I don't have all the information I need to help my friends.' . I reply, "Sure, lets go."


But before we can head to the back door. Maria comes upto me and gives me a hug. I hug her back and lean down and lightly kiss her lips. As we break apart, I just turn and head out the back door, expecting Valenti to join me.



Chapter 4

Kyle

"Ok Valenti, Spill." We've only just started walking towards Evans house, and I think ' that didn't take long.' I'm really nervous about telling Michael what happened. Not because of his powers, but because I helped cause Evans so much pain. Even in the short amount of time I've been with the alien abyss, I've learnt how Michael thinks of the Evans as family.


I take a couple of deep breaths and begin, "It all started earlier today. Liz came over by our place and said that she need a favor. Now you know, when Liz asks for something, it's kind of hard to say no." Michael interrupts by sternly saying, "Valenti." I bob my head ok, because we both know I'm stalling, so I continue, "Anyway. She asked me to come over tonight and help her, because she wanted to get Evans to back off. For some reason she new Evans was going to show up tonight and she wanted Evans to believe that we had slept together."


With that, Michael grabs my arm and turns me towards him and shouts, "WHAT!" and I think, 'Ok, I'm pretty sure they heard him all the way over in Hondo.'


I know this is going to rough to hear. So as I look Michael dead in the eye, I try and calmly state, "Liz had me take all my cloths off except for my boxers. Then she came out of the bathroom with a towel rapped around her. She still had her undergarments on. But after we both got in her bed, the way we looked when Evans showed up.... it looked aas if we had just got done having sex."


Michael lets go of my arm and we start walking again. After about half a block, he finally states, "I can't believe Liz would do that to Maxwell." And I think ,' neither can I.'


I know that the next part is going to sound even worse, so when I say, "You haven't even heard the best part yet," The fact that Michael just glares at me asks, "What else is going on that's going to top that?" I glance over at him and a little clusly say, "After awhile, Liz finally calmed down and stopped crying. I asked her if she was sure she wanted Evans to believe what happened and she then does the strangest thing. She sits up and call's out Max's name. And after she did, an older version of Evans walks out of her bathroom. "


I keep on walking acouple more steps, until I relize, Michael's not with me. I stop and turn around to see Michael staring at me like I have two heads or something. After a moment Michael asks, "Are you saying we left Maria and Liz with a shapeshifter, and you're just now telling me this?" Then his eyes go wide and he raises his hand towards me and asks, "How do I know that you aren't a shapeshifter?"


I hold up both hands in surrender and say, "Hold it Michael. I'm me, and the guy wasn't a shape shifter. Liz said he was Evans from fourteen years in the future."


Michael still not convinced and asks, "How does she know he's not a shape shifter?"


I simply relpy, "I don't know how she knows. But from what I could catch, this future Evans has been here for the last couple of days."


Michael stands there, and I watch the inner war h is having with himself in his eyes. Part of him wants to find Evans, the other part of him wants nothing more than to rush back to the crashdown and Maria. Finally he states, "Lets hurry and find Maxwell, so we can head back to the Crashdown. " I just nod my head ok and we start walking again.

Great start! Didn't I read the first part of this somewhere before? Maybe not, but I seem to remember it. Anyway, I like where you're going with it. :D I like the different POV's, too! :D

With that thought in mind, I sit up and say, "Max, will you please come out here." Kyle looks at me like I've lost my mind. Then his face goes to a shocked look as Future Max steps out of the bathroom.

Uh, yeah! I guess that would be a shocker!

Ah, have faith! I wish Liz had said that in the show and told Max everything. I can't wait to see where you go with it!
