Title: Living with Myself...FINALLY

Summary: Tess has a secret.

Spoilers: Up to Departure. But Alex is alive. The story actually takes place early season 2.

Tess stood outside of the door. Do this and you'll finally be free. She raised her hand squished down the fear and knocked.

"Who is it?" No answer. "Hello? Who is it?"

"Alex...it's Tess. I really need to speak with you."

Tess never came to speak with him about anything. Heck he didn't even think he came up on her radar. Since he had fallen into the alien abyss nothing should shock him. "Come in Tess.”

Alex led Tess to the living room. “Alright what’s on your mind?”

"Nacesdo. I think he made the deal. And we are all in danger.

"Tess shouldn't we go to Max?"

“No. I don't need an interrogation... Just someone to talk to. Someone fair.”

Alex was stunned. "Ok. We’ll play it your way for now."

"Well you know I've moved around a lot. And I was raised by Nasacedo as alien not human, He grilled into me 'You are Antarian, NOT human. You are queen. Max is your king. He helped me retrieve my memories and made sure they stayed fresh. That getting that life back was all I should want. And for a while I did. Then we came here. I saw you guys. I wanted what was here. I asked Nascedo would it be so bad if we didn't match back up the way we were?

"He said things had to be the way they were. Nothing mattered but that. If they would not come willingly then he would go through with the deal that had been offered to him by Kivar. I would bring back an heir. That heir would rule with Kivar and Nascedo. I asked him why he would make a deal with the person who murdered us. He replied he would do anything to stop the pollution of a race. 'Humans are beneath us.' The others would come back with me and then be killed as traitors." Tess stopped.

Alex was shocked. I didn't like the guy. But I didn't think he would kill them. "Um Tess…Wow… Why do you think it’s been done?"

Tess sighed. "Too many weird things happening. I don't want to be with Max. He's not the same as I remember him. And even in my memories, it wasn't that great. I think Nascedo picked up on that. He was good at doing that. Now I'm having dreams about Max. Weird dreams. They aren't memories. Since I think I might be in love with Kyle, I don't think they are coming from me. I'm not only with Max in these dreams, but he's against everyone else." She stopped.

Alex sighed. "So you like Kyle, at least all your news isn’t bad. Now we have to call everyone and have a meeting about this deal thing. I think you are onto something. If I’m right it’s going to take all of us to beat this thing. Alex left Tess in the living room to compose herself while he made the calls. And then ordered food.

Oh i so wish That the show went this route! Great Start! Cant wait for more!

Yay! Another great story I really enjoyed reading! Can't wait to read it all here on the new board! I really like the way Tess realizes that something is not as it should be in this first part.

oh this is so interesting. I'm glad Tess isn't going to be one of Nasedo's Pawns and knows that what she had with Max wasn't that great. I hope her and Kyle get together soon. I love the interaction between Tess and Alex. I can't wait for more.
