Part 1

Haley's Pov

As I stand on this unfamilliar doorstep in Tree Hill, a place I do not know, I think back to why I am here. You see my parents got killed in a car crash, they died instantly. It was by a drunk old man, and he lived, and my two innocent Parents got killed. That does not seem fair to me. He was the bad guy, not them. Anyway my parents are dead and I have no family at all. Neither of my parents had siblings so that means no uncles or aunts or cousins and my grandparents are dead also, what a boring life I had. Anyway so my parents got killed so I was basically an orphan until they found out that my parents gave me a godmother. I remember my mom talking about her, I guess they used to be best friends years ago. I've never met her. So that is my only option, either that or foster care. Basically it is foster care, because they are strangers to me. Anyway I am being forst to live with them. Why can't I be emancipated or something? So here I am standing on this doorstep of this nice mansion with my tears filled in the rim of my eye. I hate being here, especially when I know that i'm about to burst out in tears any second, I don't want to do it in front of strangers. I take a deep breath and ring the door bell twice.

A few minutes later a very goregous guy answers the door and next to him there is a shorter, goofy looking guy with his mouth open, like he is trying to catch a fly or something. If I was not in this bad situation i'd laugh, but its not appropriate to laugh right now.

End Of Haley's Pov




Nathan's Pov

As I open the door I see the most prettiest girl i've ever laid eyes on. Even prettier then Peyton and she is a really pretty girl. I would say some player comment that I ususally have stored up for, for the ladies, but I see that she is sad and something is seriously wrong so I decide to be nice and keep my mouth shut. I see her shifting around uncomfortable because Tim is gaping at her like he wants to eat her or something. I look down and I see suitcases near her feet and i'm confused to why they'd be there. But I keep quiet about that now.


"WOW your HOT." Tim said making her blush.

Tim's such a Dim sometimes, can't he tell that she is sad and does not need that guy crap?

"Hi may I help you?" I ask.

In a low voice I hear, "Hello is Debra Scott here?" She looks up and I see that she has tears in her eyes.


What does she want with my mother?

"Um no i'm sorry, my mother is at work right now....." She cuts me off

"Ohhhh, well is Dan Scott here?" She asked.

"No he is at work also." I said.

"Ok then can I please have the address to your mothers work I need to speak with her, its important." She said.

"Well she is her own boss, I can get her to come home, why don't you come in...." I said trying to get her name.

"Haley." She said. "My name is Haley."

I move aside from her ushering her in, "Come on in, i'll get you a drink,you can leave your bags right there." I said getting her some ice cold water.

"Thankyou." She took the water and sipped it like it'd burn her.

"You look tired, do you wanna lay down while you wait for my mother?" I asked and she shook her head yes so I usher her upstairs and instead of placing her in one of the many rooms I place her in my bedroom.

"Oh by the way, I'm Nathan Scott, nice to meet you Haley and that was my friend Tim downstairs, don't worry about him, he is a horn dog but he is harmlesss." I said.

She smiled.

"Go ahead and lie down, i'll leave you alone." I said walking out and going downstairs to Dim. He is mad that I let the girl out of the way. I walk over to the phone.

I dial Karens Cafes number.

"Hello Karens Cafe, how may I help you?" Karen said.

"Hey Mrs. Roe, its Nate, can I please talk with my mom?" I asked nicely.

"Sure hun, here ya go." Karen said handing the phone over to Deb.


"Hello Nate, is there something wrong?"Deb asked.

"Um ya, kinda, well know, well I duno, I need you to come home ASAP. A girl showed up at our doorstep with suitcases and she was crying. Please come home quick." I said hanging up not leaving time to argue.


She should be home in under 20 minutes. I go back and play PS2 with Dim until my mom gets home.
