I've never really watched Buffy before, but it was suggested to me that since I like Hex, Buffy would be worh a shot. I started recording the episodes on FX this week, and yesterday they showed the episode "No Place Like Home". I accidentally deleted it before I could go back and look for the answers to the following:
Can anyone tell me the name of the "spell to see spells" that Buffy used when she found out Dawn wasn't her sister? (I take it that I've landed somewhere in the middle of the series and when it began, Buffy didn't have a sister?)
Also, does anyone remember the name of the sorcerer they said created it?
Thanks.

Hello !! You have landed in the fifth season i believe.
I like Buffy but i am not an expert on every detail of the serie.
I-Sat is showing the first season if you want to give it a try. (do you have that channel?)
It has began last week so if you start watching from now on it'll be perfect.
I totally recommend it !!

No, sorry, I don't even know what ISat is. Do they have that in the US? I've never heard of it before, sorry.
I think FX just started Season Six. They just had the musical episode on Monday. Unfortunately, now that I'm all interested, FX is now showing Malcom in the Middle in Buffy's old slot, and Buffy is now only on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
It was starting to kill me just to have to wait the weekend to find out what was going to happen next and now they've gone and flip-flopped it! Things are getting interesting between Buffy and Spike and now I don't even get half the Buffy episodes per week that I was.
I'm such a shipper it's pathetic...

Buffy and Spike is a shipper I love!
I''m not sure what channels Buffy comes on, but if the station you are trying to watch it on is already on Season 6, then I suggest you just ride it out until it starts with Season 1 again. Most times with TV shows when they show them like that they wrap around, so you'll get to see Season 1 after they've shown all the episodes in 6 and 7. I hope that you can find them on a channel that you have so you can see the show from the beginning. It rocks!

My friend actually sent me a link to a website that has links to just about every episode of just about any TV show you can think of, so I spent today watching about 5 Buffy episodes online.
The last one I watched is really bumming me out, though. It's the one where Riley came back to town with his wife. Buffy told Spike it was over at the end, and I was like "Nooooooooooooooooo!" Please tell me Buffy goes back to him!

I think what happens is after that episode she tries to stay away from him, but she still winds up walking up to his crypt and both of them are tormented from missing the other one. More is to come, however! The gang I assume still knows nothing about their relationship...and neither does Giles and these things will transpire yet!
(*Fair warning: Spike out of desperation (my take) attempts to get Buffy to fool around - this causes a temporary wedge between them, but she forgives him and he comes back a different Spike...
)
Also, in Season 7, you'll notice a "friendship" that continues...so all is not lost with Buffy and Spike!

Whew! Okay, cool. I feel better now. Didn't need that kind of anxiety before bed, lol. :P
At this point, Tara is the only one who knows, because Buffy had a breakdown in front of her. Riley also knows because he caught them in bed. It's kind of a bummer, though, because Buffy is looking at this as a "low point" in her life, a dirty little secret. It's a shame. I don't know much about what's to come, but I tend to think that Spike really does want to do right by her.
