Support Stacie Challenge - STORIES OF HEALING

Post by majiklmoon »

Hi Everybody,

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and have a safe and Happy New Year! I want to tell you about a very special challenge that's being done in collaboration with this board. As you may, or may not know, one of our admins, Pooh has cancer. She's had surgery and is now undergoing chemotherapy, but Pooh doesn't have health insurance and the medical bills are mounting. Support Stacie (supportstacie.org) was created to help raise funds to offset Pooh's medical expenses. While the fundraising is crucial, keeping Pooh's spirits up is equally as important, and so, we came up with this challenge idea. The stories will be posted at Support Stacie (supportsacie.org) but you can feel free to post them here in the challenge forum. The guidelines are as follows:

The premise for these fics is: Stories of Healing. Write whatever you want, but there must be a kind of healing (i.e. Max healing Liz in Roswell) in the story.

1. Any fandom, any ship any rating.
2. No more than 10,000 words - ficlets /drabbles are fine
3. Submit your story to supportsacie.org between Feb 1 and Feb 14, 2008

Guys, I really hope you'll all write a fic for this challenge! We have some fantastic writers here, and I know you can all rise to this challenge. I'm also going to ask another HUGE favor of you. Please, pimp this challenge at every board and community you go to. There will be some banners in our challenge forum to promote this challenge. Link the banners to supportstacie.org. Let's all work together to create some awesome stories for Pooh!

Thanks again, you all are really incredible.

It all started with a boy, a girl, and a silver handprint.

Yep, all my questions are answered! LOL! :) I really like this idea and am interested as well! :) I have to be honest though, I am in the process of a move, so I will be packing and cleaning, but I'm going to do my best to come up with something because I do think this is an awesome thing! :)
