Book 4 Air: Teaching Airbending (Avatar) (Teen)

Post by horsecrazygal20 »

Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar.
Summary: The war is over. Azula is banished from the Fire Nation. Everyone is happy except for Aang because he is the only human Airbender left. Hama escapes from her prison again, but this time with an army of angry Waterbenders who didn't forgive the Fire Nation. Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Zuko find out secrets that they never knew about their relatives and themselves. They have stop Hama before she wipes out the Fire Nation.

Chapter 1 Azula's Banishment

It was a day after the war when Azula was brought into the throne room where Fire Lord Zuko sat by guards. She said coolly, "Hello Zuko. What are you going to do with me?"

Zuko said gently, "I have to think about something for a few minutes, Azula." He melted the restraints from her wrists.

She asked, "Are you going to lock me up like our father or are you going be like Uncle Iroh to me?"

Zuko replied strictly but kindly, "No, you don't deserve those punishments. My father's banishment of me was the best thing for me; it set me on the right path. Azula, you are banished from the Fire Nation; feel free to come back when you find yourself."

Azula said, "I'm Princess Azula of the Fire Nation, so I know who I am." That was a lie because she didn't know who she was.

Zuko handed her a bag with two pairs of clothes, some coins, a dagger, food, and shoes and said kindly, "Goodbye Azula. I love you and always will, Azula. Don't take any animals from the stables."

Azula said, "Goodbye, Zuko." She walked out of the palace and walked to a forest where she bumped into an young boy wearing an yellow shirt and white pants with grey eyes and dark brown hair around her age.

The boy said kindly, "I'm so sorry. I should of been watching where I'm going."

Azula said kindly, "It was my fault. My name is Azula. What is your name?"

The boy said kindly, "My name is Shen."

Azula asked curiously, "Shen, do you bend?"

Shen smiled and replied, "Yes, I'm an Airbender. You?"

Azula said kindly, "I'm a Firebender."

Shen said kindly, "I am looking for Avatar Aang for him to teach me Airbending. My parents are dead. I'm all alone. What are you looking for you?" They sat down in the forest eating some of the fruit.

Azula explained, "I was banished by my brother from the Fire Nation; I deserved it because I did some horrible things. I need to find myself."

Shen laughed and said, "You are Azula; that is yourself."

Azula laughed and said, "I meant that I need to find who I am before I can go back."

Shen suggested, "Let's travel together since we're both alone, and we might be find what we are looking for faster."

Azula smiled for the first time in awhile and said, "I think that I already found a part of me that was lost which is friendship. Let's get out these woods." They walked out of the woods and into a small town where they got a room in a small inn for the night.

I like this! It looks like a nice story of redemption (at least for Azula) and maybe a good way for Azula to meet a new set of friends and have a new beginning! :) :dance :clap :clap

Chapter 2 Airbending

It was four days after the war and the day after Aang and Katara's kiss, and everyone was taking a vacation at the Jasmine Dragon Tea Shop owned by Iroh. Aang went outside to see Appa and said sadly, "It is just us who are Airbenders, buddy."

Katara walked up to her boyfriend and asked worriedly, "Aang, are you okay?"

Aang said sadly, "I'm the last Airbender. I wish that I had another Airbender as friend."

Katara said encouragingly, "Aang, you're the Avatar. You can teach Airbending to someone else."

Aang smiled and asked, "Who doesn't know how to bend?"

Katara pointed to her brother painting another lousy picture and replied, "Sokka."

Aang said, "He doesn't want to bend anyways."

Katara said kindly, "I'll do it, Aang."

Aang explained kindly, "I'm going teach you the Air Blast. First, I am going show you the stance." He got in the basic Airbending stance and said, "Katara, go into that stance."

Katara got into the stance and asked, "Aang, is this right?"

Aang said gently, "No, bend your legs lower and put your hands out in front of you. Push out with your hands to make a blast of Air. Like this." He made a blast of Air.

Katara tried it but nothing happened and said, "It didn't work."

Aang smiled and said kindly, "Try giving me high-fives quickly."

Katara did that, and it worked because he was sent back a few feet on the ground. She went to find Aang as Sokka ran out of the tea shop to see what. Katara said as she helped Aang up, "Hey Sokka."

Sokka asked, "What happened?"

Katara replied, "I hurt Aang by Airbending. Aang, are you okay?"

Aang answered with a big grin, "I'm fine."

Sokka asked, "Katara, since when can you Airbend?"

Aang replied, "Since I taught her how to, today. I thought that I was the only one who can bend more than one element."

Sokka said, "It's probably an Avatar thing."

Aang laughed and said, "You're right, Sokka. Where did Zuko and Toph go?"

Sokka explained, "Zuko went back to Fire Nation with Mai to talk to Loser Lord about where his mother is. Toph went to see her mother."

Aang said as handing his girlfriend some marbles, "Toph needed to patch things up with her mother. Katara, I want you move the marbles without touching them with Airbending."

Katara moved the marbles with some Airbending a few feet away and said, "Thanks for teaching me Airbending, Aang."

Sokka said kindly, "Aang, I want to learn Airbending, too."

Katara asked curiously, "Why do you want to Airbend when you don't even want to Waterbend?"

Sokka replied excitedly, "I'll be just like Aang, and he is the Avatar. Airbending is cool!"

Aang showed him the Airbending stance and said, "Sokka, you try it."

Sokka got into the stance and said, "I got the stance."

Aang said annoyed, "Sokka, bend your legs lower and bring your feet closer together."

Sokka did that but fell onto the ground and said, "This is hard." He got in the stance and lost his balance again.

Aang said kindly, "Sokka, maybe you should take a break."

Poppy Bei Fong's house:

Toph walked into her house and said kindly, "Hey mom."

Poppy hugged her daughter and said happily, "Toph, I missed you so much. I'm sorry for the way that I treated you all these years like you were a doll."

Toph smiled and said, "I forgive you, mom. Where is my dad?"

Poppy replied, "He's gone. I told him that I will not let him hunt my daughter anymore, so I kicked him out until he finds himself."

Toph said kindly, "I'm going to Fire Nation for a few days to help with some of the repairs. Would you like to come with me?"

Poppy said, "Yes, I love to, Toph."

In a forest with Shen and Azula:

Shen asked handed her apple, "Isn't it beautiful here, Azula?"

Azula smiled and replied, "Yes, it is beautiful." An older man bumped into them.

Shen said annoyed after he Airbended out of the way, "Sir, watch where you are going."

The man said, "Sorry. I'm Lao Bei Fong. Hello Azula."

Shen said, "I'm Shen, Azula's friend."

Azula asked, "Lao, what are doing in the forest?"

Lao replied, "I was kicked out of my house by my wife until I find myself. Azula, what are you doing here?"

Azula answered, "I was banished from the palace by brother until I find myself, too. Shen is looking for Avatar Aang to teach him Airbending. You should come with us, Lao."

Shen remembered hearing his mother telling him about a Guru at the Eastern Temple and said happily, "I think I know someone who can help all of us. He's at the Eastern Air Temple." They headed to the Eastern Air Temple.

In the Fire Nation Prison:

Zuko asked Ozai, "Where is my mother?"

Ozai replied, "She could be in the Earth Kingdom."

Zuko asked angrily, "What other place would she go?"

Ozai replied, "She might of been visiting her sister's grave in the Southern Water Tribe."

Zuko said angrily, "I didn't know that my mom had a sister. What is her sister's name?"

Ozai answered, "Kya."

Zuko said, "That is it." He left.

I like how you're including other characters and situations in the story - it gives a broader picture of what all is happening around Azula and her friend. :) I hope that they can all find one another and in the process themselves as well! :) Great update! :)

Chapter 3 Finding Out the Truth

A few days later, Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Poppy Bei Fong were in the Fire Nation. Katara was working on her Airshield while Sokka was still working on his Airblasts and stance. Toph was teaching her mother some Earthbending. Aang said, "I'm going to see Zuko for a few minutes." He walked to the palace.

The guard bowed to Aang and said politely, "Avatar Aang, Fire Lord Zuko is waiting for you in the throne room."

Aang walked into the throne room and said, "Hi Zuko."

Zuko said kindly, "Hi Aang. What are you doing here?"

Aang said, "I need to see if you can make an announcement for me about people who want to learn Airbending. Zuko, would you like to learn Airbending?"

Zuko replied, "I'll make that announcement. Sure, I'll learn Airbending; I don't have anything to lose."

Aang smiled and asked, "When do you want to learn?"

Zuko said, "Later, right now we have to work on rebuilding cities and removing the old wanted posters of us. Maybe this afternoon." Aang left as Katara and Sokka came in.

Sokka said kindly, "Hey Zuko."

Katara said kindly, "Hi Zuko. What do you want us for?"

Zuko said kindly, "I need to tell you two something to do with our families and Aang."

Katara said, "Go ahead. Why not tell Aang since it has something to do him?"

Zuko replied, "I'll tell him later. I talked Ozai a few days ago, and I found out that my mother, Ursa had a sister, Kya in the Water Tribe."

Katara said with a smile, "That means that we're cousins if Ozai wasn't lying."

Zuko said kindly, "Ozai wouldn't lie in prison since he doesn't have anything else to lose."

Sokka asked, "What does it has to do with Aang?"

Zuko replied, "My mother and her sister were the granddaughters of Avatar Roku, Aang's past life."

Sokka exclaimed, "We're related to Avatar Roku. That is so cool!" He made an Airblast with his hands.

Katara smiled and said, "That explains why we found Aang. We should tell Aang."

Aang came back in with Poppy carrying a basket of fruit and bread and said, "Hey guys."

Zuko said, "Hi Aang."

Aang asked curiously noticing a painting of Avatar Roku on the wall, "Zuko, why do you have a painting of Avatar Roku?"

Zuko explained, "Avatar Roku is Katara's, Sokka's, and my great-grandfather. My mother is Katara's and Sokka's mother's sister. Can I learn Airbending, now?" They went out to the turtle-duck pond.

Aang showed him the stance and explained, "Zuko, get into that stance."

Zuko got into the stance and asked, "Aang, is this right?"

Aang replied, "Yes, now push your hands out, like this." He made an Airblast and said, "Zuko, you try it."

Zuko made an Airblast almost knocking Aang over of he didn't use his own Airbending and said, "Sorry, Aang."

Aang said kindly after taking a bite of his apple, "You are the first person that got it on the first try. Zuko, what happened to Azula?"

Zuko said, "I banished her until she finds herself. It got me on the right path."

Aang smiled and said, "You did the right thing. Toph, can you help me with the lesson?"

Toph replied, "Sure, Twinkletoes. What do you want me to do?"

Aang said, "I want you to throw rocks at them."

Toph said, "Okay."

Aang explained, "Katara, Sokka, and Zuko, I want you to dodge the rocks or block them with Airbending. You may not use any other bending. You can't touch the rock."

Katara said, "We got it."

Aang said, "Toph, start throwing rocks."

Katara jumped out of the way of the rock with Airbending and yelled, "SOKKA, LOOK OUt!"

Sokka made an Airblast knocking rock into Aang who leaped out of the way just in time and said, "Sorry, Aang."

Zuko made an Airshield like he seen Aang do a million times at the rock and said, "Sokka, don't kill Aang." An hour later, they could all avoid and block the rocks with Airbending.

Sokka said, "Let's get some dinner."

Zuko said, "I know a nice place that my mom used to take Azula and me when we were little; it's called The Dragon Star. I think we should all change something less recognizable, so we don't get mobbed by fans."

Katara said, "Okay." Toph, Katara, and Sokka to change.

Zuko asked, "Aang, what's wrong?"

Aang said, "I don't really have any nice clothes but my Monk robes."

Zuko said kindly, "You can borrow some of my old clothes when I was your age." They went to change.

Toph was wearing a green skirt with a white blouse and sandals. Katara was wearing a silk short sleeve blue dress with a red silk trim with brown shoes. Mai was wearing a red dress. Zuko was wearing a pair of black pants and a gray shirt with black shoes. Sokka was a pair of gray pants and a black shirt with black shoes. Aang was wearing a pair of gray pants and red shirt with black shoes and a black hat. Aang said, "We're ready."

They walked over to the restaurant. Zuko led them to his private table in a private room with all kinds of meat, fruit, salads, and deserts. He said, "Help yourself."

Aang helped himself to a bowl of salad and a glass of apple juice. He said kindly, "This is great, Zuko. Sokka, you never told us about your trip to the Spirit World. I would like to hear it."

Sokka said, "Okay, I'll tell you. I was kidnapped by Hei Bai and brought into the Spirit World. I saw Avatar Kuruk; he was pretty cool. We talked a few hours until Hei Bai calmed down and released me." After they finished dinner, they went back to the palace for the night.

AN: Zuko is Katara's and Sokka's cousin not Aang.

Chapter 4 Rough Time

A week later, Zuko, Aang, Lady Bei Fong, Toph, King Bumi, Sokka, Suki, Master Pakku, a Fire Nation general, a Fire Nation Comander, and the Earth King were sitting in the Peace Room in the afternoon. Zuko explained, "The war is finally over; we need to figure out how to make up for what the Fire Nation did."

Suki said kindly, "The Fire Nation could help rebuild Kyoshi Island. Fire Lord Zuko, you did burn it."

The Fire Nation general said coldly, "We aren't help you rebuild your land. It's your land; you should fix it yourself."

Aang said annoyed, "Suki is right. The Fire Nation is one who burned it not them, so it's your responsibility to fix it."

The Fire Nation general said coldly, "Fine, we'll help rebuild Kyoshi Island."

Zuko yelled, "YOU WILL NOT USE THAT TONE WITH MY BEST FRIEND, AVATAR AANG, GENERAL!"

The Fire Nation general said coolly, "Okay, Fire Lord Zuko."

A half an hour later, they still talking about how to redeem the Fire Nation, and no one was agreeing on anything that Zuko and Aang suggested. Sokka finally had enough with that and yelled, "THE FIRE NATION WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT DID BAD THINGS!"

Aang said tiredly, "Sokka is right. The Southern Water Tribe had an evil Waterbender named Hama; she taught Katara something bad which was bloodbending."

Zuko asked, "Is Hama in prison, now?"

Toph replied, "Yes, she is."

Sokka said, "Hama might use bloodbending to break out from her cell again like she did the first time."

Zuko said angrily, "Hama is crazy for doing bloodbending."

Aang suggested, "I could always do what I did with Ozai if it comes to that."

Zuko said tiredly, "That is enough for today. The meeting is over." Everyone went their own ways except Zuko, Aang, Toph, and Sokka who went to the turtle-duck pond where Katara and Mai were throwing breed for the turtle-ducks.

Aang said tiredly, "Hi Katara and Mai."

Katara said kindly, "Aang, you look tired. I think we should skip the Airbending lesson, today."

Aang yawned and said, "I think you are right. Let's get some dinner in the kitchen." They went into the kitchen.

Sokka helped himself to some beef and said, "The Fire Nation has the best meat."

Aang helped himself to a small salad and a bowl of rice and said annoyed, "Sokka, that is gross."

Suki also helped herself to a salad and a bowl of rice and said just as annoyed as Aang, "Sokka, that is gross; the way you ate meat every single meal. You can't just eat meat for dinner."

Mai decided to have a salad and a bowl of rice because Sokka made her lose her appetite for the meat and said annoyed, "Sokka, you can't eat like that in the palace."

Zuko just grabbed a bowl of rice and a salad and said, "Sokka, that is gross."

Katara had the same thing as Aang and said as passing a bowl of rice over to her brother, "Sokka, eat some rice."

Aang yawned and whispered because his throat was sore, "I'm really tired. I'm going to head to bed." He went to his room and took off his Monk robes and his shirt. He whispered to himself, "I don't get sick." He climbed into his bed.

Katara walked into her boyfriend's room and asked, "Aang, are you okay?"

Aang yawned and whispered, "I'm just tired from the meeting." He fell asleep. Katara went to her room for the night.

In the forest with Lao Bei Fong, Azula, and Shen:

Azula asked annoyed, "How long is it to the Eastern Air Temple?"

Shen replied tiredly, "A few weeks."

Lao said, "We have to walk all the way there."

Azula said crankily, "I'm sick of having blisters on my feet."

Lao handed her a jar of ointment and said kindly, "Put that on your feet."

Azula rubbed the salve on her sore feet and replied, "Thanks, Lao. We should camp here for the night." They set up the tent for the night. She handed everyone some fruit and said, "Sorry for the only a few apples and moonpeaches."

Shen smiled and said, "It's okay. I don't eat meat anyways." They finished their dinner and went to bed for the night.

Chapter 5 Sick

The next morning, Zuko was looking for Aang everywhere in the palace and ran into Katara, Toph and Mai. He said frantically, "Sorry, Mai, Toph, and Katara."

Katara asked annoyed, "What is wrong?"

Zuko replied worriedly, "Aang is missing. The meeting is going to start in less than an hour."

Katara asked, "Zuko, did you check the turtle-duck pond?"

Zuko replied, "Yes, about a million times."

Katara asked, "Did check everywhere else outside?"

Zuko replied, "Yes, he's not anywhere outside."

Toph said, "Maybe he is playing with Tom-Tom. Tom-Tom does like Aang."

Zuko said, "He's not with Tom-Tom."

Mai said kindly, "Zuko, I saw him looking for the bathroom awhile ago. I'll go to check." She walked over to the bathroom and heard horrible coughing noises. She knocked and said kindly, "Aang, I thought that I find you here."

Aang coughed a few times and whispered, "Hey Mai."

Mai said, "Looks likes that the Avatar is out of commission."

Aang whispered, "You can say that." He emptied his stomach of the contents of last night's dinner into the sink.

Mai said worriedly, "You sound horrible."

Aang looked at himself in the mirror and saw that he had flushed cheeks and dark circles underneath his eyes. He exclaimed in a whisper, "I look horrible!" He let out a series of harsh coughs.

Mai said gently, "Aang, you're sick. I don't think Katara cares about how you look in a relationship."

Aang smiled and whispered, "You're right, Mai." He threw up again. He yawned and whispered, "I'm tired."

Mai teased, "It's time for the Avatar's nap." They went back to his room.

Aang climbed into his bed and said quietly after a horrible coughing fit, "I have to go to the meeting."

Mai said calmly, "I don't think Zuko will want you throwing up all over the peace treaties and coughing every few seconds; you probably even have a fever." She placed her hand on his extremely warm forehead and said gently, "You also have a bad fever. Everyone gets sick sometimes even you, the Avatar. If you go the meeting sick, you will just spread it to everyone else."

Aang whispered, "Fine, I feel horrible. I don't want to get anyone else sick."

Tom-Tom walked into Aang's room and asked after coughing a few times, "Play with me?"

Mai said calmly, "Aang is sick, and you are still sick. Tom-Tom, you need your nap."

Flashback four days ago:

Mai woke up to harsh coughing sounds coming from her brother's room and got dressed quickly. She ran over to his room and said calmly as she picked him up, "Tom-Tom, I'm here." He threw up on her.

Tom-Tom whispered, "I'm sick."

Mai placed her hand on her brother's extremely warm forehead and said gently, "You're burning up, Tom-Tom. You need to sleep." She sang a lullaby to him and told him a bed time story, but nothing worked for her brother.

Aang was annoyed with the harsh coughing sounds coming from Tom-Tom's room because he was trying to read over a peace treaty and couldn't hear himself think. He walked into Tom-Tom's room and saw Mai holding her brother who was coughing pretty bad. He said kindly, "Hi Mai and Tom-Tom."

Mai said tiredly, "Sorry, Aang."

Aang asked worriedly, "Is everything okay?"

Mai replied concerned, "My brother is sick and won't go to sleep. I tried everything to get him to go to sleep but nothing works."

Aang suggested, "Maybe I could take him flying on Appa with me; he might fall asleep when he is moving."

Mai said kindly, "I don't want you to get sick."

Aang said annoyed, "I never get sick. If he doesn't quiet down, he'll wake up to whole palace and no one will get anything done."

Mai smiled and said handing her brother over to Aang, "You can take Tom-Tom flying."

Aang holding Tom-Tom walked over to Appa and got on him. He said, "Yip Yip, Appa." Appa took off.

Tom-Tom smiled and said quietly, "It's fun." He coughed a few times.

Aang asked gently, "Do you feel real bad, Tom-Tom?"

Tom-Tom had a horrible coughing fit and whispered, "Yes, really bad." He threw up on Appa's saddle.

Aang said calmly after blowing away the vomit off of Appa's saddle, "You feel better if you sleep, Tom-Tom."

Tom-Tom yawned and whispered, "I'm tired." He fell asleep.

Aang landed Appa in the stable area and got off. He handed the now sleeping Tom-Tom to Mai and whispered, "Mai, he's asleep for now."

Mai whispered, "Thank you, Aang. I owe you one." They went back into the palace.

End of Flashback.

Aang coughed a few times and whispered, "Tom-Tom, I promise when I feel better, we will play."

Tom-Tom said, "Okay."

Mai put a cool cloth on Aang's warm forehead and said gently, "Aang, try to rest." She walked out with Tom-Tom.

Katara asked, "Mai, did you find Aang?"

Mai replied concerned, "He's not feeling well. He caught that awful cold or the flu from my brother. I'll tell Zuko after I put my brother to bed. I told him to get some rest, poor kid."

Katara went into Aang's room and said worriedly, "Hi Aang. Mai told me that you're weren't feeling well. How are you feeling?"

Aang whispered in a congested voice, "I fewl howwible."

Katara asked calmly, "What hurts?"

Aang whispered, "By thwoat, head, stobach, and by body huwts. By nose is all stuffy. I'b hot."

Katara placed her hand on his very warm forehead and said worriedly, "You're burning up, Aang. You just have a bad cold or the flu. Do you think you can drink some water?"

Aang croaked, "Yes."

Katara poured a glass of water from the pitcher by his bed and said as she handed him the glass, "Take small sips, Aang. When did you start feeling sick?"

Aang took a few small sips of the water and whispered, "I wasn't feeling good last night. I need to sleep."

Katara smiled and said gently, "That's fine. I'll stay until you fall asleep." He fell asleep. She put cool cloth on his forehead. She went into the kitchen and made some Ginger Tea for him. She carried the teapot and two tea cups with a bowl of fruit on a tray to Aang's room and said gently, "Aang, wake up."

Aang sneezed blowing a blast of cold air and whispered, "Sowwy, Katara." He grabbed a tissue from the box on the nightstand and blew his nose.

Katara said kindly, "It's okay." She poured two cups of tea and handed one cup to Aang. She explained, "It is Ginger Tea; it will help with your sore throat and your nausea."

Aang took a sip of his tea and the warm drink felt good on his sore throat. He said hoarsely, "Danks, Katara." He drink some more of tea.

Katara ate the fruit salad and drink her tea. She said kindly, "You need to sleep."

Aang yawned and whispered, "Okay." He fell asleep.

Katara walked to the turtle-duck pond where she saw Zuko, Sokka, Mai, Suki, Tom-Tom, and Toph having a picnic dinner. She said, "Hi Zuko, Sokka, Suki, Mai, Toph, and Tom-Tom."

Mai asked kindly, "Katara, how is Aang?"

Katara replied worriedly, "He is very tired."

Tom-Tom yawned and whispered, "I'b tiwed."

Mai felt her brother's extremely warm forehead and said worriedly, "You're burning up."

Poppy came back from the market and said, "I'll put Tom-Tom to bed for you. There has been a Flu going around here." She took Tom-Tom to his room.

Sokka said amazed, "Aang is finally sick."

Zuko asked, "What do you mean that he is finally sick?"

Sokka explained, "One time, Katara and I got sick from a bad storm; Aang didn't even get sick. He never gets sick no mater what the weather is. The closest thing to him being sick was when he in coma for three months because of Azula's lighting."

Zuko said kindly, "Aang is the Avatar. Maybe he has a higher tolerance of germs than the rest of us.

Toph said annoyed, "I think time caught up to him. He was already exhausted from fighting Loser Lord, teaching you three Airbending, flying Tom-Tom on Appa, and going to peace meetings. It was all the stress and the lack of sleep a few days before the Day of the Black Sun."

Zuko said kindly, "I sent Healer Song to him." He invited Song and her mother to work at palace which they accepted.

Song came out to the courtyard and said kindly, "Hi Zuko, Mai, Katara, Sokka, Suki, and Toph."

Zuko asked concerned for his sick friend, "Song, what is wrong with Aang?"

Song replied calmly, "He just has a horrible flu. I got him to eat some vegetable broth. I gave him a fever reducer, a herbal decongestant, and a cough medicine. He is asleep. I want him to stay in bed until his fever goes down. Tom-Tom also has the flu, but he'll be fine by tomorrow."

The servant came out to the pond and said, "I have some bad news. King Bumi has passed away in his sleep. His funeral will be held on Friday."

Zuko said tiredly, "You can go home to be with your family." The servant left.

Song handed everyone a small cup of an anti-flu remedy and said, "You all must take it to prevent you from getting Aang's flu or a less severe case of the flu." They all took the remedy.

Zuko said tiredly, "Thanks, Song; go to bed."

Song said, "Good night. Wake me up if Aang starts coughing really bad." She left.

Katara said, "Zuko and Mai, you two look almost as worn out as Aang. You two should go to bed."

Mai yawned and said, "Tom-Tom has been keeping me up for the past few nights. Goodnight, guys." She kissed Zuko and went into her room for the night.

Zuko yawned and said, "Bed sounds good. No meetings tomorrow. Goodnight." He went into his room for the night.

Sokka said, "Goodnight, Suki, Toph, and Katara." He went to his room.

Toph said crankily, "I'm going to bed." She went to her room.

Suki asked, "What's with her, tonight?"

Katara said, "I think she's hitting puberty. She'll snap out of the funk soon."

Suki said kindly, "I'm going to bed." She went to her room.

Katara walked into her room and changed into her blue nightgown. She fell asleep.

In an Earth Kingdom village:

Azula said happily, "Look a village. They probably have a nice warm bed for all of us." They saw a small inn.

A young girl the same age as Azula came running up to them and said, "I'm Koharu, my mother, Michiko runs this inn. Come inside."

Michiko said kindly, "Hello. Do you want anything for dinner?"

Azula said tiredly, "I'm Azula and these are my friends, Shen and Lao Bei Fong. A bowl of chicken noodle soup would be great for Lao and me. A vegetable soup will be great for Shen."

Koharu brought out the soup and said kindly, "It is so nice to see kids my own age not like those stuck up rich kids, here."

Shen asked, "Are the rich kids so bad?"

Koharu replied, "Yes, they always brag about everything."

Azula said, "I had some good friends until I goofed up and went insane."

Koharu asked, "Azula, want to have a sleepover in my room, tonight?"

Azula smiled and said, "Yes! I never been to a sleepover before." Azula followed Koharu to her room.

Koharu said kindly, "This is my room."

Azula asked curriously, "What do we do at sleepovers?"

Koharu replied, "We play my favorite game Truth Or Dare. The rules are you have answer Truth or Dare when I ask Truth or Dare. When you answer Truth, you have to tell the truth to a question that I ask. When you answer Dare, you have to do the Dare. We take to turns."

Azula said, "I'll go first. Truth or Dare?"

Koharu answered happily, "Dare!"

Azula said, "I dare you to stick your head into a cold bucket of water for ten seconds and don't dry yourself until the end of the game." She filled the bucket with cold water.

Koharu dunked her head into the bucket for ten seconds and asked, "Truth or Dare?"

Azula replied, "Dare!"

Koharu handed her a short-sleeved green nightgown and said, "I dare you to put on this nightgown on."

Azula changed into the nightgown and asked, "Truth or Dare?"

Koharu replied, "Truth."

Azula asked, "What was your FAVORITE toy when you were young? What made it so great?"

Koharu replied, "It was Lucky, my teddy bear. It was my present from my dad before he died when I was three. Truth or Dare?"

Azula said, "Truth."

Koharu asked, "What would you do if you were alone at night, in a forest, with your dream guy or girl?"

Azula replied, "I would make out with him. Truth or Dare?"

Koharu answered, "Dare."

Azula said, "I dare you to change into a red nightgown."

Koharu changed into the red nightgown and asked, "Truth or Dare?"

Azula yawned and answered, "Truth."

Koharu asked, "Who do you have a crush on?"

Azula smiled and replied, "I have a big crush on Shen. He's so cute. We should go to bed." Azula got into the spare bed while Koharu went to her bed.

In Hama's prison cell:

Hama faked a series of coughs and whispered, "Help."

The guard opened the cell and said, "You go get some water for that cough."

Hama ran over to the sink and filled a cup with water, and she froze the guard in ice. She ran outside and said relieved, "I'm free." She ran into a cave for the night.

Oh no, Hama has escaped and Aang is sick! I looked back and saw that Hama is our bad girl in the story, so now I"m anxious to see how Katara, Aang and the rest will fight back against her upcoming battle. I'm glad though that Azura, Lao and Shen have found some new friends at the Inn - Koharu looks like a very nice person - I'm glad that they stopped and more importantly that she is getting the chance to begin new friendships and have fun with a sleepover! How fun! :) Nice update! :) :clap :clap :clap
