Gerry I'm excited!! You're joining us in the banner making!!! I like the Swamp Witch best of all but your others are very nice too. Your Swamp Witch has a great blend of color with the background of the swamp and the cabin...and I like your gator! (ha,ha!) Then how you did a ghostly image of Liz in the far right. I think that's Liz?? Anyway, wonderful work, Gerry! Welcome aboard the Fan Arts World!
Thanks, Angie! I appreciate the comments! :D I liked the Swamp Witch one, too. And yep, that's Liz's face. I was really happy with the cabin, because it came out a lot better than I thought. My biggest challenge was to get the banner sharp enough without pixelating it. The original was done too small, and when I enlarged it, the writing in particular looked fuzzy. But when I shapened it, it pixelated badly. Increasing contrast or reducing RGB made it shaper without pixelating but changed the delicate balance of the colors. I finally got a happy medium though through a lot of trial and error. Thanks again for the nice comments!
Thanks, Pooh, Tracie, Angie, and Majit. :D Here is my latest addition, Codename: TABASCO
And I made a new and updated Ee-l'wee banner. The old one and new one are both here to compare. What do you think? Do you like Ee-l'wee better in the new one or in the old one?
In the long hair version she looks more "elegant," but I thought the pose and look were a bit "Calendar-girl-like." A bit "modelish" or posed or something. I wanted to make her just a normal girl... pretty but not modelish. I don't know. I'll have to think about it a while.
Ee-l'wee was more girl-next-door, she never liked being seen as anything overly special (I remember that from how she acted when dressing for her wedding and also when being called a Queen). So with that in mind, the shorter hair would probably be more Ee-l'wee!
Well, if and when the book gets published, of course, somebody else will do the cover art, and Ee-l'wee won't be any of these that I drew, but I still can't make up my mind on these two for posting here. They both have a different kind of appeal.
Okay, on to the next banner. Here's my newest. It's for Memories of the Blue Planet.
