S2 Spoiler Warnings!

Post by gioia »

Definitely a huge fan! I'm still in shock over the ending of S2. My GOD what an explosive, shocking finale. Tosh! Owen! Geez!

Aside from being bummed over the deaths, I have to admit I didn't particularly like the whole buried-alive-for-nearly-2,000-years bit. The idea of Jack slowly suffocating - resurrecting - suffocating - resurrecting for ...what was it exactly? 1928 years?... I hated that. It would have been enough to drive him mad. I just hated the idea that he was supposed to emerge from that without his character changed in the least. Also, at the end of "Utopia" we're told that he's visibly aged a bit after living 138 years. But he didn't age any after 1928 years of torture? That didn't make sense to me. *grumbles* Basically, I just hate the idea that he experienced something that horrific - that the writers forced my lust object to suffer so badly, LOL. ;-)

Anyone else with reactions to S1-2? Have we heard yet when S3 is airing?

Yeah, that buried alive thing was bad, I wonder if he wasn't able to put himself into some sort of stasis(sp).

I think that the new season is going to start airing in the spring. In the meantime I can spend a lot of :drool time over JB and GDL.

JB has said in a couple of interviews that in his mind at least Jack went into some sort of stasis/trance state

(and I'm with you on the JB & GDL :drool ... I went to a GDL signing in London 3 weeks ago and barely remembered my own name when he asked for it)

The stasis thing is something that would have had to happen.

I like the fact that there is a bit of a dark side to Jack. He is not afraid to make the hard and unpopular decisions for example letting the little girl go in Small Worlds or the torture comments in Countrycide, and any number of other instances.

ETO5 did you look at Jazz's pictures with the two guys?

ET05, I hadn't heard the stasis theory, but that sure makes a lot more sense than the alternative! I'm glad to hear JB's got such a logical explanation for it, as the only other option in my mind is to pretend it never happened. Thanks for sharing!

It's coming to DVD this week or next, I forget which. We've already pre-ordered it for our Netflix cue. I highly recommend it! Don't want to say too much and give anything away, but it was IN-TENSE!! :jawdrop

From what I've heard I don't know if I can handle the ending.
