Many of life’s failures occur when people give up without realizing how close they are to success.
It’s a new semester at the school, and this quote is so appropriate right now. Last week, during exam week, I watched so many students give up and not even bother trying on their exams because “I’m going to fail anyhow, what’s the point?” The point is, so many of them were so close to passing, that a passing grade on the final would have passed them for the semester.
It pains me to see kids that close to succeeding sabotaging themselves that way. I know that sometimes it seems like giving up is the only choice you have, but it isn’t. There is ALWAYS another option. You may have to re-evaluate, and approach things from a different angle, but always push on. I’m reminded of the words of Winston Churchill “Never, ever ever ever ever give up.” It’s very sage advice!
