What Makes a Failure

Share on:

A man can fail many times, but he isn’t a failure until he begins to blame somebody else. – John Burroughs

But it’s not my fault.  If so and so had done what they were supposed to do, everything would be fine.  It’s so easy to shift blame and responsibility on to somebody else.  And yes, I know there are plenty of instances where things did not come together becasue somebody else did not do what they were supposed to do.  It’s a part of life.  You can accept it, but casting blame isn’t going to get you anywhere.  It’s better just to move on, and try again instead of casting blame.
