Effective Action

Action, to be effective, must be directed to clearly conceived ends.~ Jawaharlal Nehru

I’m thinking a lot about goals right now because it’s a new year, and it’s a time for resolutions and goals.  Goals are a good thing, but you have to have a plan.  You can’t set out willy nilly (I love those words) and expect to reach your goal quickly.  You may reach your goal eventually, but it probably won’t be happening any time soon.

There is something to be said about the willy nilly journey however.  Sometimes, it’s great to say “This is my goal,” and set out on a voyage of discovery to get to said goal.  Sometimes it’s not even about the goal, but the journey to get there.

The smart person, will figure out what goals require a direct path, and which one will benefit from the wondering path.  No matterh what, though, don’t stop setting the goals.!
