The Banquet of Life

Share on:

The challenge before us is to savor the unknown and delight in the taste of possibility. – Mary Anne Radmacher

Think about life as a big giant all you can eat buffet spread out before you.  There are all kinds of foods on there.  Some are familiar to you, but some are strange.  Do you load up your plate with the spaghetti and meatballs, or the mashed potatoes and roast beef, or do you take a chance and try something new?

It’s hard to reach out and try something new.  What if you don’t like it, or if we continue our buffet metaphor, what if it doesn’t taste good?  Well guess what, if you try something and you don’t like it, you don’t have to finish it.  You can move on to the next thing and try that.  Don’t hold back, being afraid of what’s unknown.  Reach out and take a bite.  You may not like what you tried, but eventually, you’ll find something that you absolutely LOVE!!!
