It’s Your Life – It’s Your Responsibility

Share on:

Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else. – Les Brown

I’m gearing up for another new school year, and another new batch of excuses.  “It’s not my fault, Miss.  I was with so and so, and they told me to do it.   I didn’t have time to get it done.”  The excuses are plentiful and they all have one common theme.  It’s always the fault of somebody else.

It’s a bunch of bull, and I can never get my students to realize that.  You may have a crappy home life, or may not have a lot of money, but when it comes right down to it, you are responsible for your own life and for the choices that you make.  So start accepting responsibility for the choices that you make and start thinking before you make those choices and maybe make some better ones.
