Seasons of Change

The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. – Socrates

Change is good, and in fact, change is necessary.  I think if we don’t change, and we remain stagnant, we’d simply socratesfade away.  Change however can’t be forced, or it shouldn’t be forced.  When it is, in my belief, it is seldom successful.  The best changes take the old, or the existing and build upon it.  It’s more a metamorphosis than it is anything else.  The best change has the solid foundation of what has come before it, and it uses that foundatation to shore up the changes and make them stronger.  You can’t fight to keep things the way they always were, either.  Change is inevitable.  Embrace it, and use it to fuel the change of the future.
