Have a Goal

Share on:

If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things. Albert Einstein

Did you ever think that if I could just date so and so, my life would be perfect, or thing about how great your life would be if you had that new car, or moved to a bigger house?  Wanting to achieve more is great, but having a bigger house, or a newer car is not the key to happiness, or it shouldn’t be.  The happiness should come from the achieving, not the getting.  The getting is kind of like the icing on the cake, but the cake – the real substance is the happiness and pride you should feel in saying, “I said I was going to do this, and I did.”  Be proud of yourself for accomplishing something!
