We’re Not Worthy!

Share on:

For us to regard others as worthy, we have to begin by regarding ourselves as worthy.? Stephen Richards

I know I’m showing my age with the title, but I couldn’t resist!, nor could I resist this: Gif from giphy.com

Now let’s get serious and talk about the quote, lol.  I don’t want to focus on the regarding others as worthy as much as I want to talk about regarding ourselves as worthy.  Most of us don’t think very much of ourselves.  We may talk a good game about ourselves, and maybe even brag a little, but when push comes to shove, we beat ourselves up and belittle ourselves on a regular basis.  And honestly, I don’t know why.  One would think we’d be our own biggest cheerleaders, but we’re not. If there is an anti cheerleader, when it comes to ourselves, that’s what we are.  I want you to try something.  The next time you catch yourself making negative self-statements, just stop and instead say 3 positive self statements.  Instead of “I can’t believe I did that, I’m so stupid,”  try “I’m an intelligent person,”  or “I make good decisions,” or “I think outside the box.”  Try it, because contrary to what Wayne and Garth are saying, you are indeed very, very worthy!
