It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. – e. e. cummings
When we are children, we are shaped by our parents, how we act, what we believe, we learn from our parents. As we grow up, we are still influenced by our parents, and we are influenced by our teachers. As we grow older still, our friends and peer groups have a tremendous influence upon us. As we grow older still, we’re influenced by all those people and the media. The challenge is in listening to our own inner voice and not only discovering who we are and who we are meant to be, but in honoring that and becoming that person. It’s hard, but when you are true to you, the rewards are immeasurable.
