Happiness is a choice. Peace is a state of mind. Both are free! – Amy Leigh Mercree

I’ve blogged quite a few times about happiness being a choice.  You get to choose if you’re happy or not.  You probably don’t get to choose a lot of the circumstances in your life, but you always have a choice when it comes to your reaction.    The same goes for peace.  You can choose to react with hate and violence, or you can adopt a far more peaceful persona.  I’m not saying don’t get angry…we’re  human, we get angry, but we don’t have to act out in anger.  Take the second to center yourself and calm down – find your peace.  What is really great about those choices you have, the happiness choice and the peace choice – they are FREE!  So is being miserable and worried.  But I’m thinking if you have a choice of two things that are free, you’re better off picking the good things.  So CHOOSE to be happy, and CHOOSE to have a peaceful state of mind!
