Simply put, if you’re going to forgive somebody, you need to mean it. It can be, however, harder than it seems. It’s super easy to pay lip service and say you forgive someone. The struggle comes in really doing it. It’s hard to let go of hurt feelings, and disappoinment. I know it’s a challenge for me. Holding a grudge, however, is probably the worst thing in the world you can do for yourself. It just fills you up with bitterness, and that’s not a good thing. Work to let go of the negative feelings you may have for people. Really release it and let it go – let love fill that space in you instead. Maybe not love for that person, but for yourself. Use that love to erase the negativity that was inside you and then start working toward directing that love toward the person who disappointed you.
